Story
Bonjour Hoomans:
My name is Coco and I am a 10 year old , purebred, male, miniature poodle who's looking for a forever home and forever Hooman to go with it .I am tan and yellow and fawn in color and weigh a little over 10 lbs. My former Hooman brought me here to Golden Paws because they were no longer able to take care of me.
I really need a quiet, loving home inhabited by folks who don't move very quickly. I'm pretty skittish and I tend to get really nervous if people move quickly towards me or around me. After all, my entire world has been turned upside down and it will take me a while, and a loving home, for me to get my bearings again. Once I get used to the new people and to my new home, I will be a lot of fun. I just need Hoomans who are patient and understand that I am, right now anyway, pretty nervous.
If you're not familiar with poodles, we are one of the most intelligent dog breeds, and are highly trainable and quick to learn. We are considered hypoallergenic because we have a thick, curly coat of fur and shed very little. This tends to trap the dander and any loose hair which we may develop. We are known for being very friendly and for being very pro people. We're generally graceful and agile because we were bred for retrieving in the water. We were originally bred in Germany, so, of course, you Hoomans insist on calling us French poodles. (Oh well!)
Seriously, I really need a Hooman who can be patient and understanding with me .If you believe you can be that Hooman, fill out an application, and come for a visit. I have been neutered and have had all my shots. I think you will see for yourself that what I'm offering you is sort of a diamond in the rough situation.
