My name is Harry and I am a 10 years young male, purebred, miniature poodle who has decided that it’s time for me to find my forever home and hooman. I am apricot in color and am 25lbs of tail wagging fun and love.
I was surrendered to the nice people at Golden Paws by a breeder, so my past history is a little mysterious. Despite that rough beginning, I am very outgoing. Anytime I spy a hooman person, my tail goes into overdrive. I have been told that this is kind of unusual for a dog from a breeder. But you know what? I don’t believe in looking at the past too much. I’d rather be exploring, meeting new people and making new friends than reliving the past.
I love to be held and talked to. The folks here describe me as being kind of goofy and laid back. Besides hoomans, I love being with other dogs, so if you have one already, that would be fine with me. Somebody to play with! I’m kind of indifferent about cats. I just tell them “ you work your side of the street, and I’ll work mine.”
I love going around exploring and would enjoy taking long walks with hoomans. On the other hand, I would be very, very happy to stake my claim to your lap, or just lay by your feet quietly.
As with any older gentleman, I do have a medical issue or two. I have a cataract on my right eye, and have another one that is developing on my left, but that doesn’t stop me from going where I want to go or doing what I want to do. And, like others my age, I have had to have some teeth removed, but that was done successfully and I am all healed up now. I do, however, prefer soft dog food, since it’s much easier for me to chew.
So what do you say? I have been neutered and I have had all my shots.
