Minnie is a senior female miniature poodle mix with big “mysterious stranger in a rom-com” energy. She arrived as a stray, so her backstory is classified (we assume it involves glamour, adventure, and at least one dramatic slow-motion run).At first, Minnie is shy and observant — she prefers to quietly assess you before committing to emotional vulnerability. Think of it as her audition phase. Once she decides you pass? Congratulations, you’ve unlocked a very sweet, affectionate little shadow who enjoys attention and will happily upgrade you to “trusted human.”She’s still figuring out this whole leash situation and currently believes it may be a gentle form of wizardry she did not consent to. She’ll need a patient adopter willing to teach her that leashes are, in fact, not portals to chaos. Due to her fear of leashes and flight risk it is best that she lives in a home with a fenced yard.Important notes from Minnie’s HR department:Dogs: She can be fearful of them. If you have one, it should be calm, polite, and respectful of personal space (basically the golden retriever of emotional intelligence, even if it isn’t one).Cats: Unknown. Possibly a mystery. Possibly a sitcom episode waiting to happen.Kids: Unknown, but likely okay with calm, respectful children who understand that Minnie is not a stuffed animal and prefers gentle introductions and zero surprise hugs.Minnie isn’t the “instant best friend” type — she’s the “slow burn, earns your trust, then becomes your loyal tiny soulmate” type. If you appreciate a good before-and-after transformation story, she might just be your next chapter.Minnie is bonded with her friend Houdini. Apply if you have patience, kindness, and a strong appreciation for small dogs with main character energy and trust issues (working on them).
