Story
Meet Ellie, a 3-year-old miniature poodle with a big personality packed into her tiny 12-pound frame! Ellie is playful, loving, and absolutely adores people, especially kids, who she is incredibly gentle with. One of her funniest quirks is standing straight up like a little human anytime treats are involved and trust us, she will do just about anything for a snack! Ellie was an only dog for most of her life, so she’s still learning how to socialize with other dogs. She will need slow introductions and a safe space she can retreat to if she starts feeling overwhelmed. With patience and understanding, she continues to make progress every day. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash, though she can get excited and pull a little when something catches her attention. Ellie also does okay in a kennel as long as she has a cozy bed to curl up in. Like any poodle, Ellie will require regular grooming to keep her beautiful coat healthy and free from mats. Grooming can still make her nervous, so her foster family has been working hard on helping her feel more comfortable with the process and improving her grooming etiquette. Ellie is a sweet, silly little girl with so much love to give and is looking for a patient family that will continue helping her grow while loving her exactly as she is.
