Story
Meet Nora! Nora is a 3-month-old Husky/Pomeranian mix, searching for her forever home. Nora is a lively and energetic pup who is always ready for an adventure! With a playful spirit and boundless enthusiasm, Nora is the perfect companion for an active family looking to add a burst of joy and excitement to their lives. After she is healed, this spirited little pup would love to run and explore, and she is eager to learn new tricks and games. This sweet girl had an unfortunate accident in her previous home that resulted in a broken leg. She has undergone repair surgery and has several months of recovery ahead of her, including strict kennel rest and very limited exercise allowances. It can be challenging to keep a puppy under kennel rest, so any potential adopters must be prepared to help Nora over these hurdles to get her back to full health.Nora is at the age where training and routine are critical, so she needs the consistency, patience and love of her new guardian to show her the ways of developing into a mature and fulfilled adult dog while keeping her healing in mind. Adopters are encouraged to attend puppy obedience classes, but the basics are a must - leash training, socializing with people and other dogs, and, of course, house training. Nora won't be a puppy forever, and as she grows, there are some important things to keep in mind about her breed. Nora is presumed to be a Husky/Pomeranian mix; however, we cannot guarantee this is 100% accurate without a DNA test. Huskies are very social, vocal dogs who regularly need the company of their people or other dogs; they are not suited to being left alone all day. Both Huskies and Pomeranians thrive with exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation. Previous or similar breed experience is recommended! **We are accepting local applications and are looking for a Foster-to-Adopt home while Nora awaits her follow up leg x-rays and spay surgery. **If you think Nora could be a good fit for you, please fill out an application below.https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kamloops/*TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible and drastically affects the likelihood of receiving a call back.* Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Apricot Weight: 7.4 Age: 0yrs 3mths 1wks
