Story
643 days is a long time to wait for a family.  Meet Tucker — just over 2 years old, about 65 lbs, and quietly one of the most loyal dogs you’ll ever meet. From a frightened, unsure pup to a confident companion with the right pal, Tucker’s journey is a powerful reminder of what patience and love can do. Tucker is thriving in his upstate NY foster home, but what he truly wants is permanence — a person to explore life with and a place to finally belong. He’s the kind of dog who lives for connection. Long hikes, creek swims, peaceful walks, and then curling up beside you at the end of the day — Tucker is happiest simply being with his person. While he can be a little cautious meeting new people at first, once he trusts you, his devotion runs deep. Tucker at a Glance: • Dog-friendly (happy with playdates, also content solo) • Crate and house trained • Cat-approved  • Loves nature and water • Best suited for a calm, child-free home • Loyal, affectionate, and deeply bonded to his people Tucker has waited long enough. He’s ready for his forever — and for someone to finally choose him. Story
Looking for the perfect balance of playful and laid-back? Roxie is your girl! Roxie isn’t your typical pittie mix—her DNA test revealed she’s 37% Husky (plus a fun mix of other breeds!). She came to us last year from the streets of Dallas, Texas, where she arrived with her pups in tow. Now about 5 years old, spayed, fully vetted, and officially heartworm free, Roxie is ready for her happily-ever-after. This sweet, happy girl loves to play and already knows her basics—she’s a real smarty pants! She gets along well with other dogs and kids, but would do best in a cat-free home. Roxie is thriving in her foster home in upstate NY, but she’s waiting for a forever family to call her own. Good with kids,
Story
Nickname: Toby Toboggan is a stunning husky mix who came to us as an unclaimed stray, and we’re still getting to know this handsome guy. What we’ve seen so far has been nothing but wonderful—he’s very sweet, friendly, and social, and he seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. Toboggan has that classic husky charm: a little silly, full of personality, and always ready to make you smile. He would likely do well in a home with savvy kids who understand playful, energetic dogs. Toboggan is also a smart boy who already knows sit, shake, speak, and lay down. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion with good looks and a gentle heart, Toboggan may be the perfect match.
