Cara is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. This sweet Heeler/Husky mix has a gentle soul and a loving nature that shines through in everything she does. She does wonderfully with other dogs, though she appreciates a little patience and reassurance when meeting new canine friends. Once she’s comfortable, her sweet personality really comes out. Cara also walks nicely on a leash and has a pleasant medium energy level that makes her happy to join you for adventures and equally happy to relax by your side afterward. With her kind eyes, gentle demeanor, and loving heart, Cara is ready to find a family to call her own.

Story
Her mother is full husky and her dad is a terrier, not sure what kind. She’s around a year and a half. She’s playful and shy. She will let you know when she wants to go in and out. We would like for her to a good home with someone who has time to spend with her. She would do best in a kid free home as the only dog. She has lived with other dogs since we acquired her. It does take her a bit to get used to new dogs but when she does she is very playful with them. She likes to be first in line for affection though. She has also been around young children under the age of 5 with no incidents. She does best when it is just her however, no other dogs. She is calm and loving when it is just her. Other dogs in the home brings our her competitive side to be first for everything. She just needs a calm home and more attention than we have been able to provide to her.

Mouse is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys their company, though she’s still figuring out the whole “play” thing. When her dog friends get a little rowdy, she can be unsure of what to do, but with time and positive experiences, she’s sure to gain confidence. With her medium energy level, Mouse is happy to join you for fun activities and then settle in for some quality cuddle time. In fact, being close to her people is one of her favorite things! Sweet, affectionate, and full of potential, Mouse is ready to grow into an amazing companion for a lucky family. ❤️
