Rescued from a large hoarding situation, Wheatly has truly come into his own in foster care. He has learned how to relax, trust, and enjoy the comforts of a calm home, and he has proven to be an incredibly easy, reliable companion.
Wheatly is fully house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and has excellent home manners. He settles beautifully in the house, can be left loose overnight without any issues, and simply enjoys being near his person. He carries a wonderful, moderate energy level — happy to play and explore outdoors, but just as content relaxing quietly at your feet or curled up beside you.
What makes Wheatly truly special is how naturally he bonds. He prefers connection over chaos and has a lovely habit of staying close and checking in with his human, making him an ideal match for someone looking for a loyal sidekick to share everyday life with. He enjoys outdoor time, car rides, and being included in routines — happiest when he knows he belongs right by your side.
Wheatly does well with other gentle, respectful dogs, but his strongest attachment will always be to his person. Busy public adoption events are overwhelming for him, so he is available to meet by appointment only, allowing him to connect with potential adopters in a calm, low-stress setting.
