Name, age, breed: Harrison aka Enzo, 3yrs, Golden Retriever x Likes: People, toys, outdoors, car ridesDislikes: Being told no What would be the ideal home? Adult only home that can provide consistent routine and training. He is fine to be crated for a workday. Backyard would be ideal as leash training needs work, and he loves to run. He would benefit from having another confident, playful dog in the home to show him the ropes. Good with other cats? Yes - curious but no chasing/ aggressionGood with dogs? Yes - comes on strong but adapts to different play styles/ takes cues well from other dogs Good with children? No - he can be a bit of a bulldozer. Temperament: Docile, sweet, sassy, fun Motivators? Food, toys, praise Any commands? Sit, good recall, fetch House trained? Yes Crate trained? Yes How long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may beoverwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time toadjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle inand their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries andexpectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable andacclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specifictimes.Any special needs or traits an adopter should know?Harrison aka Enzo is a very sweet dog with lots to learn. He has great house manners and has been fine to roam throughout the day with no destructive tendencies. He is fully house and crate trained and does not bark/ whine when left alone.He loves to spend time outdoors and has good recall. He can be timid with new situations and people, but warms up very quickly.Once he is confident in the home, you get to meet the real Enzo!He is quite confident once he learns his routine and can be slightly pushy so we are working on boundaries (ie. sit and wait before going outside or getting his food). He is very smart and He needs a strong handler. He pulls very hard on leash. Leash skills will require further training. Would highly benefit from obedience classes. He doesn’t know any basic commands beside
