Story
Meet Gigi 🐾 Gigi is a 7-year-old Husky mix with a soft heart and a gentle spirit. Though she can appear a bit intimidating at first because of her looks, she is truly very sweet, calm, and affectionate once she feels comfortable. Gigi is naturally a little shy and tends to observe before jumping in, but her loving nature shines through quickly. She has been with our family since she was young and, like her brother Archie, has traveled with us through several military moves. Gigi is fully house-trained, up to date on all vaccinations, and has no known health issues. She does well with children and other dogs. Gigi is deeply bonded to her brother Archie and looks to him for guidance—he leads, and she happily follows. They have spent their entire lives together and share a special connection, so a home that could keep them together would be ideal. Gigi would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can feel safe, supported, and continue to grow in confidence alongside her brother.

Story
Hi, I`m Reed!I`m a FIDO Project dog- FIDO stands for Florida Inmates & Dog Obedience. I live inside our local men`s prison so they can help me learn a few things that might help me find a home. Each FIDO class gets their own theme- ours is called, `The Fanstastic Fur.` I arrived at the shelter in June. A state park office called animal control and said there were three dogs wandering around in their parking lot. It was obvious to them we knew each other. No one ever came forward to claim me, and now here I am, hoping you`ll look at me. If you know Huskies, then you know a lot about me already. I’m energetic, I like to be busy, stay engaged, and I’m always down for a run with you. Or a puzzle. Or a training session. Or an indepth conversation. Give me attention in almost any form.[I want to experience life to the fullest. Looking for a quiet friend to binge watch your favorite shows with? Yeah, that’s not my dream life. I need a little more. If you’re active- let’s talk. Better yet- let’s walk. If you think you may want to adopt me, please visit marionfl.org/fido and submit a no-obligation adoption application. Someone from my FIDO team will reach out to you soon! Want to find me and my friends on Facebook? Search for #TheFIDOProject. Story
Meet Togo Named after the legendary sled dog from the Disney movie, Togo is a 5-year-old neutered male Husky full of personality and love. Personality & Temperament: Togo is incredibly friendly with all people, including children. He's known for his gentle hugs and classic Husky vocalizations. He loves car rides, dog parks, hiking, and long walks—making him a perfect companion for an active person or family. His favorite thing in the world? Stuffed toys. He’ll play with them during the day and cuddle them at night. Home Needs: Togo is both crate-trained and potty-trained. He thrives on a routine and is typically let out every 3 hours. He must be crated when left alone, as he's a bit of an escape artist—so a secure, tall fence or a leash at all times is a must. Behavior with Other Dogs: Togo exhibits resource guarding—he protects his food, toys, treats, and even water. Because of this, we do not recommend a home with other dogs unless you're experienced in managing and separating animals during high-value moments. Medical Info: Togo occasionally has a strange cough. When it flares up, a vet-prescribed steroid helps manage it. The current bottle will be provided, and his medical records can be transferred to his new vet. He doesn't need the medication often, and the bottle lasts quite a while. Togo is looking for a committed, loving home that understands the needs of an intelligent, energetic Husky with quirks.
