Achilles is a loving family dog. We're trying to rehome him because we are downsizing from a 4-acre farm to an apartment. We've done it for a year now. I feel like we are short-handing him. He deserves better. We're looking for a secured fenced in yard and would prefer that he has a buddy because he's had a buddy almost all of his life but his last buddy stayed up in Indiana which is where we're from. He's well mannered. Will be your buddy to the end. We're just looking for a better option for him and if it doesn't work out we would like him back. He has already been paid for and pre-approved with our apartment so we can accept him back if the situation does not work out .

Zeus 🐾 From the foster: Zeus is an incredibly smart and affectionate dog. At 8 years old his owner surrendered him to me after talking them out of euthanasia due to “behavioral issues”. Upon pressing further, I realized the “behavioral issues” was actually separation anxiety. Zeus struggles in thunderstorms but with comfort and medication he does much better. He doesn’t love a crate but is crate trained. He was brought up around kids, his estimated age is 8years old. I do not have children and so have not tested him with kids yet, but he has loved everyone he meets at the Home Depot! He is a talkative boy (husky mix) and tends to bark at my other dogs for attention during play. He is also a macho man kind of dog- meaning he likes to be in charge. He is good with my dogs, but may do better as an only pet so he can get all the attention. Zeus is leash trained but would do well with short walks at first as he does have a cruciate ligament tear in one of his back legs. The vet advised against surgery as it doesn’t affect his mobility. Zeus is not necessarily an easy dog- he’s not quite a “project” dog either. Just a loving soul who wants the care and patience he rightly deserves.
