Story
Calling all rescue Husky lovers! Russell is everything that’s awesome about Huskies and he’s looking for his forever family. Russell is full of personality, vocal and goofy, he has great house manners and he’s so intelligent! He’s dog friendly, kid friendly, and such a good boy. We believe that Russell is a Husky mix of some sort, but he is a rescue, so this is just our best guess! Russell is estimated to be around 2 years old, and he currently weighs in at 59 pounds. Fall in love with Russell here: https://youtu.be/yn_Vj6r0zHQ?si=16-viX_kjT1mT9jr Russell is a total dog lover. He is currently fostered in a home with multiple other dogs, and he’s doing great with them! Russell is a fan of all dogs, but gets along especially well with Huskies. He loves to play chase with other dogs, and you’ll know that he likes another dog when he comes in for a couple sweet kisses. We think he would do best in a home with a moderately playful dog to keep him company. With people, Russell is adorable, affectionate and sweet. He rubs his head on your legs for pets, and in a group setting he will bounce around asking for pets from each person in the room. Kids are no exception to Russell’s people-loving disposition, he’s gentle, sweet and tolerant with little ones. Russell has spent time with kids as young as three years old, and we think he would do great as a family dog. Russell is so full of personality and hilarity. He’s very charming and so easy to love! He’s vocal and can carry a conversation with just about anyone. He’s highly intelligent too- very trainable! Another brag about Russell- he has AMAZING house manners. He’s respectful, sweet and careful of furniture. Here at the rescue, he sniffed around all of the pre-marked-perfect-pee-spots, but did not mark indoors. Russell would make an excellent best friend for any animal lover looking to add some love and joy to their home. He would be a great family dog. He would love a home with a moderately playful doggy sibling or two. We do not recommend Russell for a home with kitties. We are willing to test Russell with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Story
Madame Cleo has read the cards — and your future includes one very dignified, independent husky. Cleo is a beautiful husky mix with the kind of self-assured presence that makes you feel like she knows something you don’t. And honestly? She probably does. With her confident nature and quietly curious eyes, Cleo has a touch of mystery about her — the type of dog who is confident, poised, and more of a “hang nearby” than “glued to your side” kind of girl — and we respect that. She’s currently in a foster home with a yard, mastering her house manners and enjoying the day-to-day while she waits for her adoption date! Cleo is estimated to be 2 years old, is a Husky mix and weighs a petite 46 lbs. Keep in mind that because she is a rescue, we cannot guarantee age or breed. Her foster currently enjoys walks with Cleo on a harness, with occasional leash walks to keep her versatile. Her foster shared that she is house trained and has not had an accidents since she has been in the home. We love that! Huskies are known for being opinionated , and Cleo is no exception, Because she can be a little vocal (classic husky), apartment life isn’t the best fit — but a home with a yard, a comfy crate, and a human who respects her independent personality is her dream! With other dogs, Cleo is confident and cool. She doesn’t need playmates, and she certainly doesn’t need a dog following her around. If there’s another dog in the home, a chill, low-energy male who minds his own business would be just fine. But truly, Cleo doesn’t require canine company to be content. She would be perfectly happy as a single lady than part of a pack. We introduced Cleo to our house cat and she did well! Her foster then shared that she has an indoor/outdoor cat that Cleo lives with peacefully. Another sign she’s in tune with her surroundings and knows when to keep things chill, so dog-savvy cats are welcome with Cleo. If your idea of the perfect companion is a quiet, independent dog who’s not going to shadow your every move but will still check in with you during sunset yard hangs, Cleo is your girl. She’s calm, self-assured, and beautifully low-maintenance — as long as you appreciate a little husky sass. Questions? Story
Are you looking for a low drama bestie? A pup who just wants to chill out and vibe? Well we have the girl for you! Destiny is a gorgeous young girl who carries herself with the grace and calm of an old soul. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need constant entertainment or high-energy outings. Just a peaceful home, a soft spot to sleep, and someone to share quiet moments with. We believe Destiny is a husky mix of some sort around 3 years old and weighs approximately 50 pounds. She has the softest coat that has flickers of orange to accent her cream fluff. She has these deep soulful eyes that make you want to melt and the very best soft girl demeanor. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. Check out Destiny here:https://youtu.be/LGovzC-Fv0A Her foster says she’s the sweetest thing, and that sentiment is clear the moment you meet her. Destiny loves a good walk around the neighborhood, but she’s not one to bounce off the walls! Her idea of fun is making grass angels in the yard and soaking up the sunshine. She lives with an older foster sister whose easygoing vibe matches her own perfectly, and when meeting new dogs, Destiny definitely gravitates toward those with calm, gentle energy. She’s not looking for a party, just companionship that matches her mellow mood. When she met some of our resident doggos, she preferred the mellow dogs over the excitable puppies. She would do well in a home with a dog similar to the demeanor of her foster sister, calm and easy. Destiny has also been around children, spending time with her foster’s nieces aged 7 and 10, and she did wonderfully. She’d thrive in a home with dog-savvy kids who understand how to respect her peaceful nature and give her space when she needs it. She enjoys car rides, belly rubs, and simply being near her people. Almost immediately after meeting you, her loyalty and affection come through in the most endearing ways. She never met a stranger while she was with us and soaked up everyone’s doting. While she can be left alone, Destiny does have that little husky flair for the dramatic and will sometimes sing the blues when her person leaves, making her better suited for a home over an apartment. As for cats? She gave our housecat Biggie a wide berth and showed no interest in him, so we believe she could peacefully coexist with a calm, dog-savvy cat who keeps to themselves. Destiny is just looking for a place to vibe, somewhere calm and cozy where she can stretch out, take in the day, and share sweet moments with her people. She’s got a gentle spirit, a big heart, and a quiet kind of love that stays with you long after she curls up beside you. If you’re looking for a low-key companion to bring a steady kind of joy to your life, Destiny might just be your girl. Does Destiny sound like your dream girl? Story
Meet Vanilla! The spunky, dog loving, cat friendly, kid obsessed, playgroup rockstar! If you’ve been looking for a dog to accompany you on walks and to take to the neighborhood dog park, look no further! Vanilla is your girl! She has the most beautiful fox-like face and she looks like an ice princess! She is so good in every way and we believe she is going to make an excellent canine companion! We believe that Vanilla is a husky mix of some sort that is around 2 years old and weighs approximately 55 pounds! Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our very best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. But looking at her fluff, there has to at least be a little husky in there somewhere! Check out Vanilla here: https://youtu.be/PI9KXP0b0sw Like I wrote earlier, Vanilla is a playgroup rockstar! We chose her to be in all of our assessments today because of how well behaved she was! She makes the nervous dogs break out of their shells and keeps the energy with the playful dogs! She would be a great doggy daycare dog and will make the best companion to a household that already has a dog in it. We see her thriving in a home with a medium energy dog that enjoys playing but also enjoys taking breaks! She is also cat tolerant and had no issues being in the room with our housecat Biggie. She greeted him with interested sniffs but ultimately left him alone. She would do well in a home with a dog savvy kitty that didn’t mind the occasional sniff or two. Vanilla also loves kids! She met a couple of the staff’s kiddos (9,11) and had a blast! She was so gently taking treats from them as they gave her affection and kisses. She is kid friendly and would love a home with children that know how to enrich a playful girl like herself. Vanilla has a huge love for running and would enjoy a home with a backyard. But she is also so mild-mannered in the home that she would do well in an apartment with an active owner that could adequately provide her the exercise that she needs. Overall, Vanilla is such a sweet princess and is going to make her future family so happy! Does Vanilla seem like your pick? Meet Cash! The cutest little petite husky boy with strikingly beautiful blue eyes. He is very dog friendly and a natural born runner. If you are looking for your next exploring buddy, look no further! Cash is ready to follow you wherever your adventure heart yearns to go! We believe that Cash is a husky mix of some sort who is around 11 months old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. He still has a little bit of growing to do, but he will most likely remain a petite guy! Due to him being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But that’s what makes rescue exciting! You get a unique puppy breed exclusively for your family to love on! Watch Cash here! https://youtu.be/Ee2AnPvCkuA The best thing about Cash is how dog friendly he is!! He definitely is a guy you can take on trips to the dog park! It will be his most cherished social hour! When he met the pups at our property, after a cautious initial greeting, he was running around the yard at lightning speed with a pack of pups! He wanted to be where the action was. In my head, he would be the kid in elementary school asking all of his classmates if they want to race, LOL. Cash is very dog friendly and would do well in a home that has other medium/high energy pups that he can play the day away with! Cash’s foster brags about how outgoing and friendly he is and we can definitely see why! Cash doesn’t live with cats, but he did so well meeting our housecat Biggie! When we introduced them to each other, Cash was cautiously curious. He sniffed Biggie a couple of times but ultimately let the kitty do his own thing. Cash just stood there patiently as Biggie played with toys right in front of him. We consider Cash to be cat tolerant and would be okay in a house with dog savvy cats. Cash also doesn’t live around kids, but due to his gentle demeanor and puppy nature, we believe he would do well in a home with older kids who know how to properly enrich an active puppy. If there are kids in your home and you are curious to see how Cash responds to that age range of children, please let us know and we will be happy to observe his behavior! We want to make sure that he is perfect for your family! Cash is a boy who thrives feeling the wind behind his ears! With that being said, he will thrive in a home with a fenced yard over an apartment lifestyle. He has excellent leash skills and will make a great walking companion! He is truly such a good dog and has so much devotion to offer to his future family! Does Cash sound like the boy for you? While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
