Story
This inquisitive girl was brought into Second Chance as a stray. After finding that her owner was suffering from long term health issues that meant he could no longer care for her we agreed to take her into our care, and she has been such a lovely resident. But she is still looking for her new home. Nyx is curious and energetic, while at the shelter she is always thrilled to investigate her surroundings. Though she is also quite well mannered, especially on the leash. She loves the water. Nyx is about five years old and was reported by the owners to be a Siberian husky mix. She has done well with other dogs though observations suggest she may not be well suited for a home with cats. Like all dogs at SCAA she has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you would like to learn more about her please reach out to at SCAA at 208-267-7504 or by email. We hope to hear from you soon!

Story
Meet Stormy — your blonde, blue-eyed bundle of zoomies💙 This shepherd–husky mix is sunshine wrapped in fluff, with energy for days and a personality that keeps life interesting. She’s super puppy-like, loves to play, and fully believes every moment is the perfect moment for fun. Loud noises can make her pause and say, “Um… what was THAT?” — but she adjusts quickly with a little reassurance. She’s smart and eager, but will need continued training and structure to help her grow into her best self. True to her husky roots, Stormy may have a touch of escape-artist curiosity, so a secure yard and watchful eye are a must. She can also get over-excited and start “talking smack” — this girl is not a quiet one! Expect sass, commentary, and dramatic storytelling. We’re unsure how she does with other dogs, cats, or kids — but we’re happy to give it a shot with proper introductions. Stormy would thrive in an active home ready for adventures, laughter, and a little lovable chaos. If you’re looking for a fun, spirited sidekick with stunning blue eyes and lots to say, Stormy’s your girl 💙

Age: 2 years Breed: Husky Mix Gender: Female Training Level: Fully potty trained Crate Trained: Yes — she settles easily Good With: Dogs, cats, kids of all ages Personality: Shy, cautious, playful, submissive Medical: Spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped Frosti is a gentle, soft-spirited girl who just needs a little time and patience to truly blossom. She can be shy and cautious when first meeting new people, but once she learns she can trust you, her sweet and playful side shines through. She absolutely adores other dogs and is submissive with both people and pups, making her an easy companion in a multi-pet home. Her ideal home would include another playful dog (especially a Husky friend) who can help build her confidence and show her the ropes. She’ll thrive with adopters who understand that there will be an emotional transition as she moves from her foster home to her forever family, and who are willing to give her the time she needs to settle in at her own pace.
