Story
Skylar is a beautiful boy! He is very sweet and loves to run. He came to us only understanding Spanish but he now knows his name and basic commands in English also. He loves attention, going for walks, talking to you, and treats. He is also a very good jumper and needs a secure fence area to run and play in.

Story
Meet Noelle.  She is a 3 year old husky/pitbull mix. She is a medium/large dog and will need a privacy fenced yard. Noelle is very independent and smart, so she needs someone familiar with those personality traits and willing to train her and give her a job as she aims to please!  If you would like to make Noelle a part of your family, fill out an application at  www.barktownrescue.org.  Adoption Fee for Noelle: $170The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Portions of your adoption fee also help care for the sick and injured animals that we take in.  Thank you for supporting us and considering a rescue dog!    December 8, 2023, 11:30 am
