Hi, I’m Barry – Your Professional Zoomie Machine and Snack Expert 🐾💥 I'm almost 6 years old, but trust me—I’ve still got enough energy to run circles around you (literally). Zoomies are kinda my thing. So are toys. And people. And big, meaty treats. Basically, if it makes me happy, I’m all in. I’ve been hanging out here for over 660 days, and let me tell you, I’ve really mastered the art of being a husky. I love hard, play harder, and yeah... sometimes I love with my teeth a little. (Have you seen my grin though? Come on, you can't say no to this face.) Even though I’m a little older in husky years, I still go nuts for park days and teasing my packmates. Life’s more fun when you stir up a little trouble, right? What I really want is a medium- to high-energy home where I can get all my zoomies out, then crash into your lap like the oversized lapdog I know I am. If there's room to run and a person to cuddle, that's my kind of heaven. One More Thing, from Me: "Hey hey hey! It’s Barry! Wanna see me do a zoomie? Wanna throw me a toy? Wanna be my best friend forever?? Cool, because I’m already packed and ready to go. Let's be goofy and happy together!"

Hi, I’m Tacoma—and yes, I am the moment. 💁‍♂️💥 I’m two and a half years old, I’ve been at Husky Halfway House for nearly 580 days, and honestly? They’re lucky to have me. I’m a full-blown firecracker with extra spice, zero shame, and so many opinions. 🗣️ I’m like your youngest sibling times ten. I’ll pester the pack, stir the pot, and when someone finally checks me? I’ll scream like I’ve been mortally wounded. 🎭😱 Total drama king? Obviously. I’ve got energy for days, zoomies that could shake the earth, and a voice that demands attention. Still working on fetch (weird game), but food? Attention? Park time? YES. Brushing? Tolerated—with sufficient snacks, of course. 🍗🧼 What I need is a strong human or canine leader—someone who knows how to guide a lovable gremlin like me. I thrive with structure. Otherwise, I will run the show and throw glitter tantrums when I don’t get my way. 👑 So… got treats? Got rules? Got a sense of humor and nerves of steel? Some dogs demand your attention the second they walk into a room. Pepino isn't one of them. Instead, he's the dog who quietly works his way into your heart before you even realize it. Pepino is about three years old and has the kind of personality that keeps everyone smiling. He's playful, goofy, and just the right amount of sassy. Watch him get the zoomies once, and you'll understand why the staff loves them so much. Somehow, Pepino has mastered the art of running as low to the ground as possible, turning every lap around the yard into pure entertainment. When the zoomies are over, he's more than happy to trade speed for snuggles. Pepino loves attention and leans right into hugs, soaking up every bit of affection he can get. Underneath all that husky personality is a sweet dog who simply wants to be close to his people. Pepino's life hasn't always been easy. When he arrived at Husky Halfway House, he had an infected neuter site and had chewed part of his tail because of the pain and anxiety he was experiencing. We rushed him to Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists, where his tail had to be amputated. Thankfully, that chapter is behind him now, and he's healed beautifully. Like many dogs who have had difficult experiences, Pepino can be selective about his canine companions. He would do best as an only dog or in the right structured home where he can feel safe and supported. We've found that some dogs have bullied him in the past, which has affected his confidence around other dogs. What Pepino really wants isn't a house full of canine friends. He wants his person. Someone who laughs at his goofy zoomies, doesn't mind a dog who wants to be close, and understands that behind all the sass is an incredibly loving husky who deserves a fresh start. We think Pepino is going to make someone incredibly happy. Maybe that someone is you.
