Story
I'm looking for the perfect home for my beautiful 8 year old husky. This has been a very difficult decision, but I know she deserves a home that can give her more time, exercise, and adventures than I'm currently able to provide. She is a typical husky, smart, energetic, vocal, and full of personality. She would do best with someone who has experience with huskies or other high energy working breeds and understands their exercise and enrichment needs. She is spayed and takes a daily medication for bladder incontinence related to her spay. Other than that, she's been a wonderful companion. I'm not in a rush and will be selective about where she goes. My priority is finding someone who understands the breed and is committed to giving her the active, loving home she deserves. If you think you might be a good fit, I'd love to talk and answer any questions.

Story
Meet Maya – a beautiful 6 to 8-year-old spayed female Husky with a calm and gentle spirit looking for a patient and understanding forever home. Maya is a lovely, independent dog who enjoys a relaxed lifestyle filled with plenty of naps and quiet moments. She loves carrying her toys around, not for playing fetch or tug, but simply as a comforting companion. Maya thrives on affection and will seek out head scratches once she feels comfortable, though she prefers to approach on her own terms. She is shy and a bit skittish at first, so she needs a calm environment where she can take her time to warm up and build trust. While Maya is not dog-friendly and has a high prey drive, making her unlikely to do well with cats or other dogs, she is very good with people—both men and women—and enjoys car rides. She is food and treat motivated but prefers treats placed on the ground rather than taken from hands. Maya is smart and can be guided with gentle pointing, though she does not yet know basic commands and is still learning leash walking, potty training, and kennel training. Maya has a fear of confinement but feels secure when she can see through a gate, so a home that respects her need for space and gradual socialization will be ideal. She is not protective over her food but appreciates being left alone while eating. This sweet couch potato is looking for a patient adopter who can provide a quiet, stable home where she can continue to build confidence and enjoy gentle affection at her own pace. If you’re ready to offer Maya the love and understanding she deserves, she will reward you with loyal companionship and quiet devotion. Could Maya be the perfect calm and loving companion for you? Come meet her and see if your home is the right fit for this special girl!

Story
Sonny and Cher are an amazing duo. These two are litter mates and survived being abandoned and near death with parvo. They were adopted back in 2017. We were so excited that they got to stay together well then seven years later they came back at no fault of their own. They are sweet, fun, playful.

Story
Gracie is a sweet older gal with a big heart for people. Even though she came from a sad situation where she was neglected terribly, she holds no grudges against humans and just wants to be loved. She is a cuddle bug and does great with kids. We had her in our home with our 6 year old and they spent a lot of time together. After about 3 weeks she really started to settle down quite a bit and was less anxious. She began to learn house rules pretty quickly and does very well being busy with a kong toy filled with treats. We're happy to see her recovering and gaining much needed weight. When she was rescued, she was emaciated with hip and rib bones dramatically showing. She had very little fur and bright red skin all over. She’s growing little tufts of fur back and her skin is looking much more calm these days. Gracie wants to be with her people. She also does great in the car. Because she spent so much time outside on a chain, she will also need patience in learning house rules. She will help herself to snacks on counters. She’s a spry girl for her advanced age and loves to play, run and jump around. Squeaky toys are her favorite. She walks nicely on a leash. She is potty trained and will talk to you when she needs to go out. Gracie has brought so much love and fun and we know she will be a blessing to someone. She would love a long-term foster home or a forever home where she can really settle in with her people, love them, and be loved and nurtured. With her sensitive skin, a diet that does not contain chicken would be the safest bet. She is also dog friendly but wouldn't mind living as a solo pet. She prefers polite animals that won't jump on her.
