Story
🐾 Meet Willow – Your New Best Friend! 🐾 Willow is a gorgeous 1.5-year-old Husky mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! Weighing in at 39 lbs, this playful girl still has a little puppy in her – she’s full of energy, fun, and snuggles. She wandered up to our property one day with our dog and never looked back. It didn’t take long to realize she was something special. Willow knows her basics – she can sit, shake, and lie down like a pro. She’s house trained, great on a leash, and rides like a champ in the car. She gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, children – honestly, everyone she meets! While she still has some mischief in her (what young dog doesn’t?), she’s very smart and highly trainable. Her favorite things? Couch cuddles, belly scratches, and being part of the action. Willow is ready to find her forever family – one that will give her the love, structure, and adventure she craves. 💙 If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion, Willow might just be the perfect match. Foster to adopt is a great way to see if Willow is the perfect fit for your family!

Story
🐾 Meet Maggie – Your Future Adventure Buddy! 🐾 If you've ever loved a Husky, then you'll understand Maggie immediately. At 5 years old and 57 pounds, she's a Husky through and through—full of personality, energy, opinions, and affection. She's playful, goofy, vocal when she has something to say, and clever enough to keep you on your toes. An unlocked gate or opportunity to explore? Maggie considers that an invitation. 😄 But underneath all that Husky spirit is a sweet girl who loves her people and enjoys the company of other animals. Maggie gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats in her foster home. She hasn't been around children here, but I'm sure she would do well. Maggie is perfectly crate trained and happily sleeps in her crate every night for 6–8 hours without a peep or an accident. She's also doggy-door trained. Her foster family is still working on one quirky habit—if a bedroom door is left open, she may decide it's an acceptable bathroom spot. Consistency and supervision are helping her make progress every day. Maggie recently tested heartworm positive and has already begun treatment. She's taking it all in stride and deserves a family willing to help her through the rest of her recovery so she can enjoy the healthy, happy future ahead of her. This beautiful girl is looking for an active home that understands the Husky lifestyle—plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, secure fencing, and lots of love. In return, you'll get a loyal companion, an entertaining conversationalist, and a best friend who's always ready for the next adventure. ❤️ Maggie has already overcome a lot. Now she just needs someone to give her the forever home she's been waiting for. Interested in meeting Maggie? Contact us today to learn more about this amazing girl! 🐺💕 Shreveport, LA, can transport.

Story
Cuba cames to us as transfer from a local animal control in 2022. The owners surrendered this handsome boy due to him sustaining a severe injury to his leg (a tie out cable had been wrapped around his leg and cut him nearly to the bone and injured his foot. The owners got no treatment for him and his wounds were badly infected. Since coming to us his wounds have healed and this boy is ready to find a home. He is an active boy, typical for a husky and would like a secure fence with some room to run and play. He loves looking for grasshoppers and sees them as his toys. Cuba has been around some kids, but mostly older ones without issue. He has been good with other dogs when leashed and has done okay with pups in his pen. He crates okay, but prefers not to be cooped up. Cuba walks well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. Won['t you take this handsome boy home?

Story
Meet NicoLocation: Oak Hill, OHDOB: 02/06/2025Nico is a happy, loving boy with a big personality and an active spirit. He’s a smart, affectionate dog who enjoys being around his people and thrives when he has plenty of exercise and stimulation. Nico does best with an active family that can provide multiple walks a day or other outlets for his energy to help keep him happy and out of trouble.Nico gets along well with dogs his size or larger and has done great living with a female Great Dane and another dog his size. He enjoys canine companionship when matched appropriately. However, Nico does not do well with cats or smaller dogs. While he isn’t intentionally aggressive, he plays too rough for smaller animals, so a home without cats or small pets is required.Nico has previously lived with children and did well overall, though he can play a bit rough with smaller kids. Because of this, he would do best in a home with older children who understand how to interact respectfully with a larger, energetic dog. When meeting new people, Nico may be a little wary of men at first, but he warms up quickly and becomes friendly and affectionate once he feels comfortable.Nico is house trained and has good manners in the home. He walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and goes into his crate without issue. He previously destroyed a crate tray, which may have been due to excitement or frustration, but overall he settles well when crated. One of Nico’s best qualities is his joyful, easygoing personality. He’s a very happy boy who listens well and enjoys spending time with his people, whether that’s going for walks, playing with canine friends his size, or simply relaxing at home after a day of activity.Nico’s ideal home would be with an active person or family who can meet his exercise needs. He would do well as an only dog or with a compatible medium-to-large dog companion. A home without cats or small pets is required, and older children are recommended.Nico is ready to find a home where he can continue to thrive, stay active, and share his happy, loving personality with a family of his own.All donation options, adoption applications, and important links are now in one place:https://linktr.ee/SrgdrrIf donating, please note who or what your donation is for.For more information, please email us at rescueme@srgdrr.org. Story
This sweet, timid girl is looking for her forever home! Betty is 1 yr old, about 45 lbs, fully vetted and current on preventatives, great with big dogs (like obsessed with big dogs) but not good with small dogs, and likely not cats either, crate trained, house trained. Betty came from a sad, neglectful situation (with 9 other siblings and a few adults). Dogs help her come out of her shell. She could be an only dog if her human had plenty of time to spend with her. Two of her sisters are in other foster homes and four have been adopted and are THRIVING! Now it's her turn!
