Story
Cheyenne is a beautiful, elegant, soft, and mildly shy little girl who was dumped in the wilderness to fend for herself, and is suspected to be related to Shadow, an Australian Shepherd/Husky mix taken in from a neglectful situation. Cheyenne is estimated to be about a year old. She is a little shy when meeting new people, but once she gets comfortable, she has been great with the adults, children, and other dogs she's met. Cheyenne is still in the process of completing her veterinary (she needs her spay and rabies still), and will be fully adoptable when that is completed. In the meantime, we would love to find a foster or foster-to-adopt who can help build her confidence and exposure prior to spay! She and her sister love each other dearly, so we'd love to find the girls a home together, but they also enjoy the company of other dogs and Cheyenne enjoys having a doggy friend for confidence, so if Cheyenne & Shadow can't be placed together, the ideal home would have another doggy friend for Cheyenne to love, play with, and draw more confidence from!

Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Riviera and Laredo, a delightfully charming pair of Huskies looking for their forever home together! Riviera is a confident 7-year-old lady, and 6-year-old Laredo is her faithful shadow. We suspect Riviera might actually be Laredo's mom, especially since Laredo has a complete meltdown whenever he's separated from her. At around 63 pounds each, these two are completely inseparable! This bonded and housetrained pair has so much personality. Riviera naturally takes the lead, while Laredo happily follows her guidance—stopping along the way for occasional zoomies through the sandbox! Both of them absolutely love playing in the water trough, taking treats gently, and enjoying a lifestyle that balances indoor relaxation with outdoor fun. Like true Huskies, they are skilled escape artists and expert diggers. In fact, they once dug their way out of the shelter play yard, only to dig themselves right back in once they realized they prefer reliable meals, comfy spots, and tons of love! A secure yard is a must for these clever pups. They get along well with other polite dogs, provided everyone shows mutual respect, though they prefer a feline-free home due to their natural Husky prey drive. If you're looking for a fun-loving duo with double the devotion, double the affection, and endless entertainiment, Riviera and Laredo are ready to join your family! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Riviera and Laredo is a suggested minimum of $250 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Story
Pretty Boy (aka Kingston) is a happy, high-energy, dramatic Husky! <3 He is bright-eyed and ready for every adventure. He has done well with dogs he's been slowly and respectfully introduced to, but can be full of Husky vocal sass towards new dogs he meets. He has enjoyed getting love and attention from a few children who volunteer, but we are unsure of how he does on a day-to-day in a house with kids, although we think this happy little guy will probably do pretty well - he might just match kids' excitement and get a little boisterous trying to play is our expectation. We haven't tested him with cats or small animals, but presume he might be a little much or a little rude to them. He is an active, highly intelligent, attention and love soaking pup, and would love an active family who will take him out places and just have the best time! He also loves cuddles though, so would just as happily curl up on the couch for snuggles with you. We think a home that is experienced with and loves the unique flairs of the Husky personality - the sass, pizazz, the "I-know-I'm-pretty", along with all the entertainment and merriment that comes with loving a Husky - will REALLY enjoy Pretty Boy and all the future memories and smiles he promises to make with you!
