Story
After being fostered for nearly a year and undergoing slow-kill treatment for heartworms, I’m pleased to announce that Apple is now heartworm negative and available for adoption! She weighs under 25 pounds, is potty trained, crate trained, and does know some commands. In addition to many positive traits, she’s also the most loving and affectionate little girl. Makes the perfect little lap dog.  She loves kids and gets along great with cats!  Apple is fully vetted: spayed, up to date on annual vaccines, and heartworm negative! She appears to have terrier and Chihuahua in her. As much as she loves people, she’s very dog selective and is nervous around big dogs. So a single dog household would probably be best.   We believe that she’s about two years old. Her adoption fee locally is $175. The name Elowen means “elm tree,” a symbol of strength, protection, and gentle beauty — a perfect match for this sweet, playful girl. Elowen may be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and soon shows off her fun, goofy side. She loves to zoom around the house and will happily use you as her personal bumper to stop her momentum — so be ready for some playful drive-by cuddles! She adores her toys and is perfectly content sitting on the couch chewing on one while her brother and sister have an all-out wrestling match. After watching for a bit, she’ll jump in to play for a few minutes… then head right back to her toy like nothing happened. It’s the cutest balance of playful and independent. Elowen is very food and treat motivated, which makes her eager to learn, and she already goes into her crate when it’s time to eat — a great foundation for crate training and future routines. If you’re looking for a pup who is sweet, silly, playful, and happy entertaining herself (with occasional zoomies included), Elowen would love to find her forever family! Story
My name’s Ollie, and I’m here to tell you a little about myself. My brother Marley and I used to have a family, sort of, but they let us run all over a neighborhood where there were lots of cars and even coyotes, so we were not in a safe place. We’re thankful for the nice rescue people that were able to put us into a foster home with a foster mom that loves us and keeps tabs on us. Since I’m a new arrival to the rescue, stay tuned for updates as my foster mom gets to know me better. Love, Ollie
