Story
HI! I’m PATRICK, a young Jack Russell mix and i am BLIND. WHAT’S GREAT ABOUT ME: I’m a happy guy who loves to have fun & I love my people! I love to play and also to cuddle, belly rubs are the best! I am super-smart and I learn things very quickly. I love to go outside and go for walks, easy on the leash. I’m about 25 pounds with a beautiful blue merle & white coat with some copper highlights and for some reason I have a curly fluffy tail! They call me a Jack Russell mix and think I am around 2 years old. I love food and take treats gently. Rain? Snow? Cold? Windy? Stormy? I don’t care, I love it all! I love to play with my people but I can also entertain myself like a champ with toys & bones. I am lovely in the crate…quiet and calm, I’m there when foster mom is away and I sleep there all night in my safe place. I want a home to stay safe in with my people all the time, I have no need to go out to new places with new people, that is too scary for me since I can’t see, so no stores or dog parks for me…however, I do just fine going to the vet for my visits and then I’m so happy to get back home. WHAT’S CHALLENGING ABOUT ME: I am BLIND which presents me with unique challenges, but I was born this way so I have adapted very well and don’t know any different. No children for me…I am known to use my mouth to figure out my world and what’s going on near me so I can come off as “nippy” when I’m really just trying to figure things out. I was rescued from the downtown streets and may have never had a real home or been inside a lot before but I have learned A LOT in my foster home and I am now 90% potty trained. I need an experienced dog-savvy owner, I am confident, assertive and I know how to push my boundaries but I am also loving, sweet & so much fun that I’m worth it!! So basically, you know, I'm a JRT. High prey drive, no cats for me. Would likely do best as an only dog. I have integrated into my foster home with 2 other dogs but it took MONTHS of slow integration before we could free roam together and I can get overstimulated with playing so I need to be watched VERY carefully when I’m with the other dogs. Car rides are very scary for me…I can tolerate them if you are there with me and I can go to the vet for my appointments but other than that I just wanna stay at home! Patrick needs a special home. And we will need help to find him that special home.

Story
Weight:20LBS Meet Oakly: Part Dog, Part Satellite Dish, All Heart Oakly is a goofy, happy-go-lucky Jack Russell Terrier mix who looks like someone glued two airplane wings to his head and called it a day. Seriously—this guy’s ears are so big, we’re pretty sure he can hear your thoughts. And he’s judging them. Lovingly. He’s 20 pounds of high-octane zoomies, emotional support wiggles, and spontaneous snuggle attacks. Oakly greets every morning like it’s the best day of his life and every snack like it’s a Michelin-starred meal. He’s sweet as pie, but just like pie, he’s best enjoyed by adults—little kids make him a little nervous (and honestly, who can blame him? They move like squirrels and smell like glue). Oakly would thrive in a grown-up-only home where he can be the center of attention, the master of fetch, and the reason you haven’t gotten anything done since he arrived. If you’re ready for a pint-sized goofball with satellite ears and a heart of gold, Oakly is your guy. Just be warned: once he hears you open the treat jar from three rooms away, there’s no turning back. Dogs: Meet and greet Req. Cats: Unknown Kids: would do best in an adult only home!

Story
Kobe is an 8-year-old neutered pup with a big heart and a deep love for his people. He’s incredibly affectionate and prefers to be close to his favorite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to stay by your side, Kobe might be your perfect match. He enjoys going on walks and is crate trained, sleeping peacefully through the night. Kobe thrives in a quiet, calm environment where he can feel safe and secure. He is sensitive to loud or sudden noises and can become startled easily. When frightened, he has shown signs of fear-based aggression, so he needs a patient, experienced owner who can help him feel protected and respected. Due to this sensitivity, Kobe does not do well with small children or high-energy environments and would do best in an adult-only home where he is the only pet. Kobe is a loving, loyal companion who just needs the right environment to feel safe and flourish. If you can offer him a peaceful home and lots of love, he’s a great fit for you.

This story is a sad one, This is Chester who is bonded with his brother Shorty. They lost there mom who suddenly passed away from a stroke. In a matter of a week, she was gone. She loved her pups, and she had 5 little guys. These two are a bonded pair. Chester and Shorty. They are Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix. Chester looks like the Chihuahua in the face and Shorty looks like the Jack Russell. They are very good mannered. They do like to run if given a chance probably Jack Russell in them. They are housebroken. They never really spent much time in a crate. There Human mom didn't like it They slept in bed with her. They have been around cats as well. They would do good with a fenced in yard. They are being vetted as well as they will need neutered. The daughter is not able to keep them all as there are 3 other ones who are older plus cats. She can only keep so many. These two pups are lost if the other one is not around them. They must go together. Bark Animal rescue is helping to get these two to safety and to a new furever home so they can not worry anymore. Adoption app and fee for the boys. Contact BARK ANIMAL RESCUE in Greenville, Ohio if interested or for more information.
