Meet Rosemary!  Rosemary is approximately 1.5 years old and weighs 33#. She is a mix of a Heeler & Jack Russell Terrier! 100% of cuteness in a compact body!  Rosemary is a bit on the shy side, but is a sweet and loving girl! She'll need kind and patient humans to help her get comfortable in a new home.  We recommend Rosemary is in a home with adults, as kids can make her nervous and she can be nippy when she doesn't want to be messed with.  Rosemary should do fine with cats & other dogs, if proper introductions are made.    Rosemary is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $100.   If you are interested in meeting and adopting Rosemary, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet! Jill (Jilly) is much smaller than Jack (Jack-Jack), but both should be small to medium size dogs when grown. A fenced yard is preferred due to their activity level and agility. They can be adopted separately, and a home with older children is a must. Come meet these dynamic siblings. HELLO!!! My name is Scruffy!!  I am a special guy with some special requirements but I am hopeful I can find my family really soon.  Please read my full bio before applying (I worked very hard on it). I came to the rescue in June 2023 after running as a stray in an Indianapolis neighborhood for at least 4 months.  The shelter life was not for me so I was placed in a safe and warm foster home with Tracking in the Shadows.  I am about 3 years old and 18 lbs.  I am nervous and fearful around new people and experiences and will need slow introductions and a quiet home with not a lot of strangers going in and out.  I love to run and play with other dogs.  I love my toys.  I love them so much sometimes I destroy them.  I am also housetrained and I do well in a crate/kennel although I feel more comfortable with extra space to move around.  I am very treat motivated and need to continue working on confidence building with fear free force free classes or a personal trainer.  I like to do the zoomies around the yard.  I will absolutely NEED a SECURE fenced in yard and another confident dog (or dogs) in the home!  These are non negotiable for me.  I also like going on walkies and am pretty good on the leash but do need someone that can help me with my loose leash walking skills. I am ok with cats.  I would probably do ok with older teenage children that'll give me the time and space I need to feel comfortable.  I need a patient home that'll understand it may take months before I feel comfortable enough to even allow touch.  Once I am comfortable though I am very sweet and snuggly.  I promise you I am worth it!   Scruffy is fully vetted and microchipped and his adoption fee has been sponsored by his friends down in Indianapolis.  Applications for adoption are at www.trackingintheshadows.com.  Please live within 1 hour of Elkhart, IN. **We do not accept electric/underground fences. Gertie is a 10 month old Terrier/Gremlin mix 9LBS.  How could someone resist those sweet ears right?  Gertie is every bit a puppy and absolutely loves to play. She is loving and affectionate and is learning to love life in a home. We are currently working on housetraining and crate training, and she has been quite the quick learner!  She loves both dogs and cats, but can be a bit fearful of dogs that are bigger than her. Gertie would be just fine being an only dog as she becomes very attached  and faithful to her person and can spend long amounts of time in their lap. She is also learning to not resource guard her human against other humans in the home.  Continued training will be needed.  She has done great on a leash, but definitely needs a fence as she can still get spooked by loud noises. Gertie came to us fearful, but has quickly become trusting and obedient.  She is super smart and we can’t wait to see her blossom in a home of her very own. Gertie is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and up to date on prevention.
