Story
Fifi is a Jack Russell mix girl that is young at just 2 years of age and weighing approximately 20 pounds.   Goodness what an up and down life she has already had with a few different homes, at least one litter of puppies born and definitely has felt the sadness of being abandoned.  She is still nervous around new and strange people but with some time and reassurance she can feel differently about herself and will know that strange people are there to take her away or harm her.  She is with a family who said a friend abandoned her with them and they reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue to help find her a good and forever home.  We see this girl working beautifully with an early retired single woman who wants to be adored and have a snuggle bug like Fifi to live with every day.  We also see her as a companion to an empty nester couple who has a husband that will work slowly and patiently with Fifi’s trust issues with men. Someone has NOT been nice to her in the past.  It can be overcome with consistency and patience.  CCR has the training tools to show you how.  Fifi warms up fairly quickly to women and children.  This sweet Jack Russell mix girl has the JRT energy but that can be run off outside in a dog park or a fenced backyard at a home.  She’s very affectionate with people she is comfortable with and she enjoys cuddling under blankets. It can take her awhile to warm up to other dogs but she will.   She doesn’t ever start a fight but she does have boundaries and she likes to eat her dinner without other dogs close by.  She doesn’t like the foster cat, but has learned to tolerate her well and she’s settled in an environment at home she gets along well with other animals. She needs more leash training, but does generally well on walks.  We are not going to say that this girl is a cakewalk dog to adopt.  She is a dog that NEEDS someone to work with her quirks that humans created by keeping her off balance in her first years and never giving her any confidence that life was forever where she lived.  She is worth the true rescue effort to help her jump the hurdles that were thrown in front of her by wishy washy people who decided they didn’t want her anymore.  Handing her around left her unsure of things and people.  Sad. Sad.  Sad.   If you are interested in this beauty, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   We have skilled trainers that can speak with you on the phone on tips to implement in working with her reassurance.  If you are local to Nashville, TN we have in person training available.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 24, 2024, 1:31 pm

Story
This little girl is the total definition of puppy love. She gives you sweet looks that tug at those heart strings. She can be feisty when needed (she is fostering with three other girls and sometimes it can be like the movie Mean Girls) Sometimes it is everyone for themselves but 95% of the time they are playing nicely or huddled up in a cuddle snuggle fest sound asleep. Kennedy has a super soft coat with adorable coloring. She is fostering with a great foster family where she is surrounded by other pups and learning lots of socialization skills. No doubt whomever is lucky enough to make this girl part of their family is going to be thrilled with her sweet and sassy attitude. Once adopted Kennedy will travel via private transport (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this baby part of your family please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Lucky Lionel is a most “LUCKY” dog since he was snatched out of the middle of a highway in rural Tennessee and avoided being run over by one of many cars and trucks.  His life was changed right there in the middle of the highway when a rescue angel loaded him in her car and carried him home to safety.  Noone ever came forward to claim this boy on social media and we are happy to offer this special 4-5 year old, 15 pound boy to a special Jack Russell loving family.  He is a boy that likes mature adult dogs and tolerates puppies.  He is good with the young child and fine with the cats at the foster home.  He basically ignores the cats and cuddles with the child. Lucky Lionel is the little guy that wants to be the center of attention.  He is pretty good on leash and is almost potty trained.  Rare when he has an accident. This boy is smart and adorable and loves to sit next to you or in your lap.  He is not needy for love but does ask for it. True to form he is a JRT who is an independent spirit but one that gives back over and over with fun and love.  If you are interested in this boy please know that he is best in a fenced yard and he could go for nice long walks with you daily to get off the energy.  Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 24, 2024, 1:31 pm
