We have a a very affordable transpoter who comes north every other week. This boy is a Jack Russell mix. He was born 1-4-2023. This boy weighs around 15 pounds and he is extremely social and great with people and other animals except cats. He likes to chase cats. This boy has been started on crate training and potty training. This furbay will go home neutered, current on vaccines, preventives and microchipped. We require a prescreen application to adopt. Our dogs are physically located and fostered in North Carolina until they are adopted. Once they are adopted we can transport them to your location or any of our north eastern delivery locations. We have a a very affordable transporter who comes north every other week. This boy is a Jack Russell mix. He was born 1-4-2023. This boy weighs around 15 pounds and he is extremely social and great with adults and older children and other animals except cats. He likes to chase cats. This boy has been started on crate training and potty training. Willie had horrible skin when he came in. He had a horrible flea allergy. He must remain on good flea prevention such as Bravecto, Nexgard, or similar prevention. We have gotten his skin nearly straightened out. This furbay will go home neutered, current on vaccines, preventives and microchipped. We require a prescreen application to adopt. You can get that on the website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Meet Poppy! Poppy is a 6yr old, Terrier mix, spayed female and up to date on vaccines/preventatives. She is house trained, kennel trained, and vehicle trained as well. Poppy is a medium energy dog; feisty and likes to socialize BUT she's a little crusty on the outside and super gooey on the inside. She loves her people and her friends; however, you'll need to earn her trust. Poppy can be energetic, plays casually and enjoys sustained games of chase with her friends, on her terms (fun police.) She can get cranky if play becomes too vigorous and she gets pounced on too much/hard. Poppy has a little bit of arthritis, and it can be painful, so she will gladly retreat to the door to let you know she is done with playtime. She is more than willing to go inside, follow you around or curl up, chill, and get her belly rubbed. Being small but mighty, Poppy occasionally has bouts of barking at what she sees moving in the distance and will go zooming up and down the fence line in arousal of anyone/thing approaching; however, she will calm down on her own with minimal intervention from her person. When greeting you, Poppy displays the typical wiggle body and wildly wagging tail. Have you seen how long her tail is?! It waves like a banner over her back and is simply adorable! She may initially hop up to put her feet on you, letting you know she's happy and wants to interact with you, she loves attention and will display a little eagerness to get more loves... so saying her name as she's being petted, and the name of the other dog(s) being petted keeps her content. Noteworthy Behaviors: Poppy displays barrier reactivity with new people/surroundings as a way to express her anxiety in the situation. She will need a person or family, (with older children), who will understand and take their time with her. Once you win her over, she is gold! She is quirky about having her collar touched so she will whine, cower down, and roll to her side. She will display mouthy behavior as you attempt to put a leash on her, but she genuinely wants to go out so don't give up! She will pop right up and head to the door after being leashed!! Key points to consider when adopting Poppy: she is sugar and spice with bursts of energy so great with a laid back and an active family. Honorable mention: Poppy does have a housemate, Sully, who is also up for adoption. If you're looking for two friends, then they are your duo! They would have an easier transition into a new home together but they are not bonded. $200 Local adoption fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area) $50 Fuel temporary fuel surcharge

Story
Peanut and Liam are like the waves of the ocean; one ebbs, the other flows, but they're intrinsically linked and cannot be separated. That's what happens when you spend your entire life with another being. At five years old, this committed canine couple spend their entire lives as the beloved companions in a loving home. Unfortunately, their family fell ill and is unable to care for them. Liam is the male and weighs twenty pounds, and Peanut is the female and weighs eleven pounds. Both can be shy at first, but they're so sweet and loving that very soon you'll find them on your lap. They walk pleasantly on the leash, ride nicely in the car, and are crate-trained. Their family described them as friendly, playful, energetic, affectionate, curious, and gentle. Their original home had a fenced-in yard, and they hope to have one in their next home, so they exercise their need to sniff and explore. Peanut and Liam are wonderful dogs, but make sure you research on the JRT breed; they can be vocal, like to dig, and need regular exercise and enrichment. Peanut and Liam are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. If you'd like twice the fun, twice the love, and twice the cuddles, meet Peanut and Liam today!

Story
Peanut is a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier who came to us with her brother Liam when their owners became ill and could not care for them anymore. They are a little shy at first but extremely sweet and loving! They both love to be on your lap. We recommend reading up on the JRT breed as they are a little high strung and require lots of outlets for their energy. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together!
