The adoption fee is $275 which Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Bongo is a 2 year 9 month old Brussels Griffon/Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing 13 pounds. He came to the shelter as a stray so his history is unknown. Bongo is shy and nervous with new people and potential adopters will need time and patience to earn his trust. Once trust is earned he's a spunky little love bug! Enjoys toys and treats. Happy to snuggle up next to you or be at your feet (suspected separation anxiety). Does not do well on car rides. Is learning to walk on leash but is a tripping hazard as he is at your heals. Stressed here at the shelter we have not gotten to know his true personality. A home with experience dog owners, quiet and routine and positive reinforcement will have Bongo living his best life!His adoption fee is $200, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00 (includes $1.00 service charge).Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1pm-4:30pm, and the 2nd and 4th Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website..Meet Little Jack . Little Jack is an adorable 5-year-old Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mix who is looking for a loving home. He is wonderful with men, women, and children and is friendly with everyone he meets. With proper introductions, he does well with other dogs, too. Little Jack is a true cuddle-bug who loves being with his person and would happily spend his days as a lap dog. He has had surgery to repair a luxating patella in his knee and has made a full recovery. He is doing great now with no issues from his knee. Little Jack does have some separation anxiety, when left alone, he may pace and bark. He can be a little vocal at times, especially when he’s excited, but his sweet personality makes up for it. His ideal adopters should be home more often than not. A securely fenced yard is required for Little Jack. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate little companion who wants to be by your side, Little Jack may be your guy! ❤️   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, please let me introduce myself, my name is Sarah and I am a Lab/Jack Russell Terrier. I am house trained and crate trained, and love to go on walks and sniff around a securely fenced backyard.  Did I tell you that its me that pick all the tomatoes from the plants in the yard ? I am also spayed and have had all of my shots. Sarah was abused by her first human family, so she finds it hard to trust new people and has fear aggression. It will take time to gain Sarah's trust and multiple meetings.  She needs an owner that can give her guidance (and plenty of treats) in situations when she feels insecure. After meeting a trainer Sarah have improved a lot and she responds to her special verbal command.  A training class would be a great adventure for Sarah and her new family. She will excel and perform as an A-student, she likes to learn and is eager to please. Building a relationship with Sarah will be time well spent, once she has overcome her insecurity and fear she is a GREAT active, loyal, and loving dog.  Please come and meet me,  I need is a chance to find my permanent home.
