We believe he is approx. 2- 3 years old. He is heart worm negative and up-to-date on all his shots, and is now neutered. He’s a healthy boy who’s ready to find his forever home. He had no training or boundaries when he got to his foster home, but he is so smart and eager to learn. He has picked up on each new thing very quickly. We are looking for a terrier experienced home where he can continue to grow. Someone who understands his boundaries and can give him the time he needs to feel safe and someone who knows the terrier breed and is committed to keeping him for the next 12-14 years. He has a wonderful happy personality, but has a few issues that can make him snappy (don’t they all, lol). He does not enjoy being picked up. His foster is working on it and he continues to improve. He also doesn’t like to be pushed on while he’s sleeping. With patience and love we believe there isn’t much he can’t learn. We are looking for a home with no children and no other dogs. He does seem to love playing with other dogs, but can be dominating with timid dogs, so a single dog home may be best. He runs and jumps in his crate when told it’s time for bed, and he sleeps in his crate all night long with no issues. He’s even been a good boy while his foster has to work a full time job. What more could you ask for! He’s a champ with the doggie door and has always used it to go potty. He’s been through a lot, but with the right person or family, I know he’ll thrive. If you’re looking for a dog who will be deeply loyal and just needs a bit of extra understanding, Buddy might be the perfect match! Buddy requires a home with no kiddos, no little critters or farm animals. We do not know how he would be with cats, so proactively we say no cats. Buddy needs a securely fenced yard. He is a 1.5 year old Roosevelt terrier purchased from an excellent breeder, he was tested for the dwarfism marker that causes back problems, he nor his parents have it. He is an active dog, we’ve been used to early morning and evening jogs/walks and he loves them. He is not a barker, he’s good with home nail trims and baths, he’s never had any other human food beside carrots (his favorite snack), he’s been on a good quality hard food. He’s very intelligent, highly adaptable, easily trained, he’s actually been house trained since he was 16-18 weeks old. It’s been hard to make the decision to rehome him but he deserves a stable active owner who is around, I’ve taken a great job but sadly it keeps me away from home a lot so he’s cooped up in an apartment all day. I am hoping he can find a loving active family with a big yard or a physically active person that can give him the love, company, time and space he deserves.

Hey guys! I'm back. Turns out I didn't like my new sibling. We've learned that I need to be the only dog in my next home. I couldn't help how jealous I got! Lesson learned! The humans were really nice to me, and they tried all sorts of things to help me feel comfortable. It just wasn't the right fit. And that's okay. So, I'm back and looking for another home. Meet Trixie! She is an almost 5 year old, energetic 23 lb terrier mix with a big heart looking for her forever family or person! This little lady is house and kennel trained and does a great job going into her kennel when it is time for her foster family to leave the house or at night. She is working on leash training and would do best with a family that can help her keep learning. She loves to be outside and would happily walk for miles with you if you wanted. She is'nt a big fan of putting her harness on (or nail trims) but she's working on it! She loves other dogs and would likely do best in a home with other dog friends. Like any dog, she may need time to adjust to new doggy friends and learning their boundaries. She hasn't been exposed to inside cats but does react to outside cats and rabbits she sees so we believe she would be best in a cat-free home. Trixie can be a little shy to meet new people but does warm up to them and is a sassy sweetheart. She does best when meeting new people outside versus inside a house. She warms quickly to women and children and is more wary around men, but with time and a little effort she comes around. She now likes to hang out in her foster grandpa's lap! This cutie loves to snuggle up by you on the couch or recliner. Trixie is a playful girl and can be "mouthy" and a bit more hyper when playing so she would do best in a home without very young children. She loves squeaky and rope toys and takes good care of them. She likes for her people to get on the floor and play with her but also enjoys playing with a dog friend. She is quite the growler when playing, but it's all in good fun! Trixie has so much love and fun to offer a dog-loving person or family!
