Story
Hotshot was an unclaimed stray at a local animal control. He has obvoius skin issues, and was partially blind in one eye. This little guy turned out to be the sweetest, most fun pet! Plenty of energy - he loves a leash walk or zooming around inside - and is also a snuggly lap dog. He does fine with cats, and seems to like children, though he can sometimes be reactive with other dogs. Currently he takes Apoquel for allergies, and eats soft food only. Hotshot has been at Safe Shelter for over a year. Could you be the one to give him a loving, forever home? 240 522 7416

Always on the lookout for dogs that need rescuing, one of our kennel staff saved siblings Diego and Dora from a flea market. These two were a natural to come into rescue with us. They are a mix of Jack Russell and Heeler and are only 3 months old. Right now, they each weigh around 6 pounds, but they'll mature to between 30 and 35 pounds. Both very sweet, they can be a bit shy but only at first. They love to play with toys as well as other dogs. They're both crate trained. Such sweetness! (posted 12/24/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip.
