Ripley is my mother's dog. My mother is in hospice and isn't able to take care of Ripley anymore. Ripley is very loving and needs lots of attention. She loves to play. She is 7 years old. She is very trusting and will give anyone her belly to pat. She loves to give kisses. She barks quite a bit, but if you remind her of her manners she will stop. She is very smart and could be easily trained to do tricks.She has lived with another dog and with a cat and got along with them. She wants to be friends.Ripley loves the freedom of wandering in a fenced yard, but has lived most of her life in apartments, so she does well with either situation.

I'm happiest living life at a slower pace, and I don't ask for much - just a comfy couch, a few tasty treats, and lots of love. One thing you should know about me is that I can be nervous around men. It takes me some time to trust them, and I need people who will let me set the pace instead of rushing our relationship. Because of this, I may be happiest in a female-only home, but I could absolutely live with a patient, understanding man who is willing to give me the time and space I need to feel comfortable. I'm a mellow girl who enjoys the simple things in life. I would do well with respectful children who understand that sometimes I need a little extra patience. I'd also be happy to share my home with another confident, friendly dog who can help show me that the world isn't such a scary place.
