Story
Meeko is a beautiful female Chocolate Point Siamese kitten who was surrendered by her owner on July 24, 2025 along with her two sisters (RJ and Stella) and her brother (Hammy). The kittens were 4-months old at that time. Meeko has a cream/ivory short smooth coat, a long chocolate brown tail, and an adorable face with blue eyes, a large brown splotch on her muzzle/nose with a sharp peak on her forehead, and long white whiskers. Meeko was spayed on September 23, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 4.8 lbs that day. Meeko and her siblings dearly love each other, but they are still working on their social skills with regard to their people friends. They have made progress in our shelter since their arrival, but they are not yet ready to be held in your arms or snuggle up on your lap. We believe that they would do much better in a home environment with a family or individual who has the experience/patience to let them acclimate to their new home (realizing they may choose to hide for awhile until you gain their trust). The siblings were separated into pairs so that they would have a best friend for comfort/security: [Meeko & Stella] and [Hammy & RJ] Meeko and her sister Stella (a beautiful Calico kitten) shared a cage (and later a cat tower) in our shelter and were quite compatible. They were being listed as a bonded pair. Update: Meeko and Stella went home with a foster family on November 23, 2025 and were still available for adoption at that time. Foster notes/update June 3, 2026: Like many young siblings as they mature, Meeko and Stella are no longer a bonded pair (and they don't always see eye-to-eye which results in sibling rivalry and frequent spats with each other). It seems that Stella (the Calico sister) has a bit of a cat-i-tude. Meeko is very playful and really needs to go to a home with another friendly kitty. Meeko is not a snuggler/cuddler, but she is good with other cats. Meek is rather skittish around people .. And she is even more skittish around active, vocal children, so she would do best in a quiet home with no young children. Meeko is looking for a home with a special person/family who has the patience to let her acclimate to her new home on her own time schedule (and realizing that she may hide for awhile until she begins to trust you). Update: Meeko is currently enjoying the freedom of being at the River City Kitty Cafe' (Broughton's Complex, 635 SR 821, Building 3, Suite B, Marietta Ohio) where she is available for adoption through the HSOV.
