While she came to us as a stray and her history is unknown, it`s easy to see that she likely has some Siamese heritage in her makeup.Like many cats with Siamese traits, Tristan is intelligent, observant, and quietly expressive. She enjoys gentle pets, has a rich, soothing purr when she`s happy, and can be held close as long as it`s done gently and for shorter periods of time. She carries herself with a calm, regal presence that makes her a joy to be around.Although she`s generally a quiet girl, Tristan isn`t afraid to use her voice when she has something to say. True to her likely Siamese lineage, she`ll let you know when she`d like a little attention or a treat, but she`s far from overly chatty. She strikes a lovely balance between peaceful companion and engaging conversationalist.Tristan recently met a prospective adopter`s young child who was calm, gentle, and respectful, and she handled the introduction beautifully. Because of that, we think she could do well in a home with children who understand how to interact kindly with cats.While Tristan doesn`t seem to appreciate most other kitties, there is one very special exception. She arrived with another wonderful cat named Tala, and the two were inseparable while sharing a cage. They clearly found comfort in one another and made a lovely pair. They can be adopted separately, but it would be wonderful if they could find a home together.
