Story
Meet Frankie! He is around 1 year old, 60 lbs, a Chow/Husky mix, and ready to join his forever family! This guy is smart, sweet, and laid back. He is good around other dogs and has been exposed to cats and done well so far. He is curious about cats and easily gets his big feelings hurt when they inevitably slap him. He would do best in a home with cats that are accustomed to dogs and know how to assert their boundaries. He doesn't live in a foster home with kids but has done well with those he has met and would do well with children that know how to be respectful of their doggy friends. He can be shy of meeting new people but warms up and is a sweetie. That being said, this guy prefers the ladies. Men tend to make him uncomfortable and he would do best in a home without them. He has the cutest floppy zoomies and tires out quickly. He is crate trained and house trained and is doing well learning leash training. He also does great in the car. Frankie is all things young, happy dog and needs a home that will give him the patience and love he needs to adjust and learn. He enjoys being outside and would do best in a home with a yard to play in. He is an athletic guy and does need a privacy fence as he can climb chain link. `Yes, I do need a BIG HUG!`This dog is a furry bundle of love and kisses! Cooper is a 1 year old, 50 pound Chow mix. He`s very gentle and likes lots of pets and hugs. Cooper is a favorite of our volunteer dog walkers! He is good with other dogs. Cooper is extra SPECIAL...OKC Animal Welfare is open for adoptions from 12-5:30, 7 days a week. If you want to become a foster parent and/or shelter volunteer, fill out our application here: https://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?ap=1998638100The dog/cat adoption fee, which is normally $60 unless we are having a special, includes spay or neuter, MICROCHIP, age-appropriate shots and health check. The shelter is at 2811 S.E. 29th St., phone # 297-3100. Use pet`s ID # when inquiring. Special Adoption Fees: In the following cases, the adoption fee is $30-if more than one pet is adopted, if the pet is 4 years of age or older, if the pet has been in the adoption center more than 2 weeks, and if the pet is a `special needs` pet.
