Pixie is a 7 month old spayed female klee kai/poodle mix who weighs 28 pounds. These dogs were rescued by another organization, but they were at capacity and asked for our assistance. We were told that Pixie was previously living in a van with her owner who was picked up by ICE, which left her abandoned. Pixie is a cutie who wants to be loved, pet and hang out with her human. Since moving to foster, she is a wonderful house guest! Pixie is house trained, goes in her crate on command, knows how to sit, come and loves to snuggle. She is fostered with several dogs of all sizes and loves to run around the yard and go for walks. Betty is taking “forever companion” to a whole new level! She’s really giving us those “adopt me” eyes! This 3-year-old sweetheart was rescued as a lost dog, and though she was microchipped and her previous owners were contacted, they never came to reclaim her. Since then, we’ve discovered that Betty is a total lovebug — food-motivated, eager to please, and quick to show off her “sit” for a treat! She adores being pet and soaking up affection from staff and volunteers. At just 40lbs, Betty is the perfect medium-sized companion and would make an easy fit for apartment living. Meet Honey! Fostered in east TN, Athens TN! Out of state welcome. Transport available to areas northeast or Great Lakes and is included in the adoption fee as stated here on adopt a pet. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs because they are the best. Meet Honey! This sweet little girl is a hot mess right now with her skin. She was so severely infested with fleas. She has scratched herself raw and has some hairloss. Rest assured she is feeling better now after being tested for fleas and getting relief from the itching. Her coat should come back full and pretty. She’s a tad shy at first meet but doesn’t take very long to warm up to new people. She is reserved and a bit independent which is typical of the breed. If you think she is cute that’s great but be sure to read up on the common traits of Chows. They aren’t typically cuddly lap dogs they can sweet natured but they don’t crave to be petted as much as other dogs. They are also not all aggressive as rumor has it. This girl is not aggressive at all. She does great with the other dogs, she would do best in a home with older teenage to young adult children simply because she is weary and shy around lots of activity. She is very confident at the same time she is shy. It’s a strange combination but she shows behaviors that tell us once she is comfortable she is going to be a confident girlie. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and started on flea and tick preventives as well as heartworm preventives. She is only 33 lbs and will not get any bigger. We believe she is about two years old. She is crate trained and potty trained too. Her ideal home would be one with a fenced yard, older teenager or young adult kids no small children, active or non active family that understands her breed needs of being independent. She seems to be fine with other dogs that respect her space and doesn’t seem to need a doggie companion but would do ok with one. Please apply at pet path.org

Keyoko is a very sweet girl looking for her furever home. Her owner passed away and she is just lost without her owner. She loves to be around people. She was housebroken but needs a refresher course. Keyoko is 8 years old female and is very loving. If you would like to add the darling Miss Keyoko to your home, please respond by using the big black button marked " Ask About Me" and we will send you an application. These dogs are being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
