Story
🐾 Meet Balto — A Sweet, Shining Star Ready for a Home 🐾 Balto is winning hearts wherever he goes. This handsome boy has been showing off his gentle manners, loving nature, and incredible adaptability—and he’s truly shining. Things the team (and his foster) know about me: I’m 100% house-trained and doing great indoors I’m very well behaved, attentive, and eager to keep learning I get along wonderfully with other dogs and adjust my play style to match different ages and energy levels I like to be the alpha, but I will do so gently and am still very submissive to my people I did amazing without a crate overnight I’m gentle and caring with babies — he was especially sweet and attentive with his foster's baby I ride like a pro in the car, calmly laying down or sitting pretty I can be strong on leash when there’s a lot going on, but on calm one-on-one walks I’m incredibly gentle I did slip out the front door once when excited to go outside—but I came right back Balto is described as SO sweet, thoughtful, and full of potential. With continued training and structure, he’s going to be an absolutely incredible companion. His foster says: "Balto is your dream dog. This boy is your gentle giant." 🐾 All supplies, food and medical needs are covered during the foster period. Come meet Balto at High Country Humane, open daily 11am–5pm, closed Wednesdays. Balto is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for his forever family. Contact my foster by TEXT at (928) 266-7885 to set up a meet-n-greet or ask additional questions! We can’t wait for you to see just how special this boy is 💛
