Story
Meet Maggie, an approximately 2-year-old Chow Chow with a soft heart and a gentle soul. Maggie is a quiet, shy girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She was found in the desert by hikers, full of cactus needles and a skin infection. She's a little skittish of loud noises and new experiences. But with patience and reassurance, her sweet personality truly shines. Once she feels comfortable, Maggie is calm, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. She is dog-friendly and would thrive in a low-activity home where she can feel secure. Maggie would especially do well with another dog companion to help boost her confidence. A peaceful household with adults would be her ideal match — somewhere she can settle in at her own pace and build trust. Maggie's $400 adoption fee includes a microchip, vaccinations and spay surgery. If you would like to set up a Meet & Greet and be considered for adoption, please click on the button with the pet’s name to fill out an application. Someone will contact you within 24 hours. If you have difficulty with the application, please email us at Rescue@AnthemPets.org. NOTE: Only Arizona based adoption inquiries will be considered. Anthem Pets Website: https://www.anthempets.org
