Born October 27th, 2020, D’Arce is a male German Shepherd, Chow-Chow mix. True to both breeds, he is very loyal to his people and aloof toward new people. He is potty trained and crate trained. His crate is his safe space and he will choose to lay in it with the door open and is also fine in it if you need to close the door when you leave the home. D’Arce is a home body with a huge personality and loves to simply hang out and be with his humans. He also enjoys a good game of tug of war with a rope or fetch in the back yard. That said he would prefer to just chase the ball and not give it back so multiple balls help keep the game going. He is super smart and has received formal training where he learned sit, down, stay, and leave it. He is treat motivated and eager to learn new things with food rewards. He also worked on social skills as he is cautious about new people and new dogs. As stated above he can be aloof when meeting new people, preferring to come to you. If you are simply in his presence rather than forcing interacting and allow him to come to you that works best for him. If you’re interested in this handsome and lovely boy, please plan to give it a little time and consider a few meetings to establish a trusting connection. Once he’s decided you’re worthy, he will be your loyal companion and protector for life.
