Story
Hi, I'm Alfie!'I'm a 10-year-old, 17-pound little gentleman looking for my forever family! My foster says I'm one of the easiest dogs they've ever had, and honestly... I think they might be right.| love everybody.... I mean it...dogs, cats, and people! I've done great in a busy house with 6 other dogs, and I even enjoy playing with pups my size. I'm also a big fan of car rides, errands, cozy beds, sitting beside my humans, and curling up in laps.I am mostly blind, but don't let that fool you, I get around really well! I can see light and shadows, and my hearing is excellent. I know exactly where the back door is when I need to potty, and l'Il bark to let you know when I want back inside too. I haven't had any accidents in the house and I don't mark either!Speaking of barking... I do like to chat.Especiallywhen dinner time is getting close. If you're in the kitchen, I fully believe I deserve a treat too. I know exactly where my dinner spot is and will patiently wait on my rug for my bowl. After almost 3 months in foster care, my foster says I've been nothing but sweet, loving, and well-behaved. I may not see perfectly, but I sure know how to love perfectly!Apply to bring me home today!9 Based in Bryan, Texas. Story
Meet Rocket, the ultimate gentleman in a fluffy package! This 17-pound poodle mix may be 11 years young, but you’d never guess it by the way he trots around with a sparkle in his eye. Rocket is proof that age is just a number—he’s still full of love, charm, and just the right amount of pep.Rocket has a heart as soft as his curls. He’s wonderfully gentle and gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him the perfect fit for almost any family. Whether it’s curling up for a movie night or tagging along for a walk, Raymond’s favorite place to be is right by your side. He is a true snuggler who thrives on companionship and will happily soak up all the cuddles you’re willing to give. This little man has mastered the art of being both calm and affectionate, with just enough energy to keep life fun and sweet. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will warm your lap and your heart, Rocket is ready to show you that senior dogs make the very best companions.Rocket did come to us with a habit of marking when is allowed to free roam indoors. He does not have full accidents inside but will try to mark his territory here and there. He does not mark while he is in his kennel. We recommend him being kenneled or wearing a belly band when left unsupervised to avoid any marking. To apply to have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport, please visit our website at https://longwayhome.org/adopt.❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.
