Fancy gets along well with other dogs and currently lives harmoniously with two canine companions. She has a playful side too—after a fun romp in the mud, she thoroughly enjoys her grooming sessions, emerging as fancy as her name suggests! Story
Merlin is a wonderful dog & very loved in her foster home. She’s a Chow Chow, & her adopters should have some understanding of her breed. Although she warms up quickly, she tends to be cautious in the beginning. She’s skittish around children and new people. She loves car rides and would be happy to join her person on any adventures. Families with older children will be considered on a case by case basis. Children will need to be able to control their behavior around her. She’s done well with the dogs she’s met, but after raising her puppies she might also love to be the only pet getting all of the attention. She loves to go on walks, usually keeping a loose leash & she doesn’t bark when passing other people or dogs. She will need a strong handler for when she sees small animals and pulls on her leash. She’s not been around cats, but she’s very interested in the small critters like squirrels & bunnies that she’s seen outside & might want to chase a cat. She’s calm & relaxed at home, but also is up for a little playtime. She’s mostly potty trained & does okay in her crate, but also has been trusted to not get into trouble when given free roam. Merlin has bilateral medially luxating patellas- grade 3 and 4. Although this doesn’t appear to have an affect on her quality of life now, she could need surgical intervention in the future. Applicants are encouraged to consult their veterinarian to learn more about what the long term care could entail before applying. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, apply to meet Merlin!DATCP#483538

Story
Hi, I'm Linc!!🫶 I ended up in TX animal control as a stray when I was just a young guy, but no one ever claimed me, so I've been waiting awhile to find my place in the world. I'm a gorgeous boy - 👅check out my blue tongue👅- who is about 2 years old & weighs about 50 lbs, & I'm hoping Wisconsin is my lucky place!I'm a sweet, calm, social guy who knows all my forever family skills. I'm house-trained, crate trained but trusted loose in the house, I know how to walk on a leash, & ride quietly in the car. When I first arrived in WI, I wasn't sure about a lot of things, but my foster family has been getting me out & about, and I've learned that new people mean treats & butt scratches!! I went to *three* adoption events this weekend, & I was a rock star! I'm not the kind of guy to run up & jump on you, but I'll gently nudge your hand to remind you I'm there - My foster family says I'm an old soul, I just need to be around people I trust🤗 I make dog friends easily, for a long time they were my only family! I share food, toys & treats easily with dogs and humans too. I tend to do best with dogs my size or smaller, if the bigger dogs come on strong I get overwhelmed. I met kids at the events & loved taking treats gently from their hands. I haven't met any cats yet. True to my breeds, I'm very smart, & learn quickly, though I do have a stubborn streak, so you better mean what you say! Walks are my very favorite thing to do, I also enjoy spending time in my foster's fenced yard hunting & protecting us from all the furry and feathered things!! And jumping into the puppy pool on a hot day feels great. But when I've had my fun, I'm happy lounging in the sun or at your feet. Do you think you could give me a chance to show you the real me?!?DATCP#483538
