Story
🤍🐾 Well, hello there! My name is Moose! 🐾🤍I'm a 6-year-old, 97-pound Komondor with a gorgeous all-white coat, big soulful brown eyes, and a heart every bit as big as I am! 🥰 My fur is so incredibly soft, it's like petting a cloud. ☁️ And underneath all that fluff is one very special gentleman! I didn't come to the shelter because I did anything wrong. My beloved owner was an elderly woman who raised me and loved me dearly. Sadly, she passed away, and now I'm looking for a new family to love just as deeply. She used to say I was part human because I'm so well-mannered, intelligent, and such a good listener. ❤️ I'd sure love to make her proud by being the very best boy for my next family, too. I'm a gentle giant with a mellow, go-with-the-flow personality. I love people of all ages and am wonderfully gentle, making me a lovely companion for families with little ones or older adults. I also get along great with other dogs and enjoy a good play session when the mood strikes! I'm proof that you can be a big fluffy bear and a well-mannered gentleman all at once. I've got my house manners down pat! I'm fully house-trained and crate-trained, and I'm such a proper gentleman that I prefer doing my business on grass rather than concrete. My shelter friends have to take me on special walks so I can find a spot that's just right. 😂🐾 I'm also a dream on a leash and walk beautifully without pulling. Smart, polite, and easygoing? My former mom knew what she was talking about! My beautiful coat is considered hypoallergenic, and I'm a good boy for the groomer, too. Keeping my gorgeous fluff looking and feeling its best is part of the package, so my future family should be ready to keep up with regular grooming. 🛁🤍 I'm also great for adventures! I load into vehicles with ease and travel well overall, although I do sometimes get carsick. I'll need a little extra planning for road trips, such as asking my veterinarian about appropriate motion-sickness medication, following their advice about when to feed me before traveling, and keeping cleaning supplies handy just in case. At heart, I'm a simple fellow. I don't need a whirlwind of excitement or a jam-packed schedule. I just want a loving home where I can be someone's loyal companion, enjoy leisurely walks, spend time with my people, and share all the love I've still got left to give. If you're dreaming of a big, fluffy, cloud-soft companion with a gentle soul and impeccable manners, I'm your Moose! I may be 97 pounds of floof, but I promise there's an even bigger heart hiding underneath all this fur. Could you be the family who gives me a second chance at happily-ever-after? 💕🐾📞 Call the Humane Society of the Ouachitas at 479-394-5682 to find out more about me!****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
