***LONG TIMER***Meet Tindra. She is a 9-month-old Great Pyrenees mix that was brought to the shelter as a stray. We are unsure if she is good with other dogs, cats, or children or if she is house trained as she was a stray, and we have no way of knowing. She has been given her first round of vaccines and is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE as of 01/06/2024. She is now ready to find her new FURR-EVER home!Tindra has now been at the shelter over a month. She has been great with the other dogs and adores people. She has even learned to walk on a leash since arriving here. She is very mild tempered and extremely calm for her age. She would make the most awesome new best friend a person could ask for. She has also been SPAYED and brought CURRENT ON HER RABIES vaccination via the shelter's GET EM DONE program.Tindra's adoption fee is $53.Dogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.

Meet Dakki 🐾🤍Dakki is a stunning 5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who came to us as an owner release. With his impressive presence and loyal nature, he’s a wonderful fit for anyone looking for a guardian dog who will watch over their home and family with dedication.This handsome boy is currently doing well with his kennel mate, showing good dog-to-dog manners so far. We don’t know how he does with cats or children yet. His previous owners shared that he was kept indoors and did not have accidents in the house, which is a great sign for his potential house training. However, we do not know if he is crate trained.Dakki has a few boundaries that are important for his future family to understand:He does NOT like his belly or backend touched, and he will growl if those areas are handled.He also doesn’t like his ears being touched.A patient, experienced adopter who respects his space and listens to his cues will help him feel safe and comfortable.Despite his sensitivities, Dakki is truly a sweet, beautiful boy with so much love to offer.
