Story
Baylee is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish her as a family member. She is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want her transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Baylee can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life. In the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Baylee is never without a safety net; she will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until her perfect home is found. Meet Baylee! Age: 5 Months Weight: 35 lbs (Current weight as of July 19 Estimated adult weight: 6095 lbs) Breed Mix: DNA Verified! 51% Great Pyrenees, 33% Labrador Retriever, 5% Komondor, 3% Great Dane, & 3% Anatolian Shepherd Why We Love Baylee If you have a soft spot for gentle giants in the making, Baylee will melt your heart! With a wonderful DNA blend of giant, devoted, and loyal breeds, this sweet girl is going to mature into a stunning and devoted companion. Baylee is a very timid, shy soul who takes a little extra time to trust new surroundings. She isn't a bold, pushy puppy—she is a quiet, gentle girl who just needs a calm, patient, and loving home willing to go at her pace. Watching a shy dog bloom into a confident, loving companion is one of the most rewarding experiences in the world, and Baylee has so much love to give once she feels safe. One thing that helps her feel right at home is other pups! She absolutely adores other dogs, and having a confident canine brother or sister to show her the ropes would do wonders for helping her step out of her shell. She is young enough that she could be taught how to interact with cats and children. Since she's timid, if there are children in the home, we suggest older kids, maybe 5+. Home Manners & Training Baylee is already crate trained and appreciates having her secure, comfortable space to unwind. As she is still learning the puppy basics, she will need a family ready to guide her through house training and gently introduce her to leash walking. Her mix of noble guardian and working breeds means she is naturally intuitive, loyal, and smart. With steady routines, positive encouragement, and lots of reassurance, Baylee will learn that the world isn't so scary after all. Are you Baylee's perfect match? If you have a quiet, patient heart and room in your home for a big, soft-hearted pup who will reward your devotion tenfold, Baylee is waiting for you! Video of Baylee on July 7: https://youtube.com/shorts/Ovaw5Q8fHDA?is=DkfMxRl3G3-_YXSH Her adoption includes: Fully Vetted: Baylee is already spayed and up-to-date on all her essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPPx3, and Bordetella). Prevention: She has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Safety First: To ensure she is in tip-top shape for her new family, she will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate. All performed within 10 days of her transport date. Adoption Details Baylee's adoption fee is $1,200. About Scout Scout is a typical 6-month-old puppy (August 5) who is ready to find his perfect forever family! Believed to be a wonderful mix of Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepherd, he is currently a handsome 20-pound package of pure puppy joy. Personality: A typical, happy pup who absolutely loves people. Because he is so young, it can be safely assumed that he will do great with children. Other Animals: Scout is fantastic with other dogs! He tends to be the "rough and tumble" one of the group, but he always plays well with others and is great at socializing. Can be tested with cats upon request. Training & House Skills: He is already doing okay in his crate. While he hasn't had any official training on a leash or with housebreaking just yet, he is a smart boy who should learn the ropes quickly with a consistent routine. He'll just need a patient family ready to guide him through his puppy milestones! Story
Meet Howie! Howie is a big, fluffy Great Pyrenees mix with a sweet, goofy personality and a lot of love to give. Typical of a guardian breed, Howie is incredibly loyal and affectionate with the people he knows and loves being close to his family. He can be very sensitive at times and requires the right environment to maintain his confidence. At home, he is a wonderful companion. Calm, loving, and happy to relax nearby.   Inside the home, Howie is exceptionally well behaved. He has never been destructive, has never had accidents in the house, and does not display resource guarding around food, treats, or bones. He is generally a relaxed and easy dog in his home environment. He has a lot of personality and forms very strong bonds with his people.     Howie will do best in a more rural setting. He has specific triggers that are more commonly encountered in busy or public settings. These include bicycles, motorcycles, large trucks, children running or moving quickly, and occasionally other large dogs. Through his training, he have learned techniques to redirect him and reduce the intensity of his reactions. These strategies have helped considerably, although his reactivity has not been completely eliminated and will require continued management in his new home. When Howie sees these triggers and we can't redirect him, he can bark and lunge at the trigger. In these situations he can nip at his handler (but has never broken skin)  He knows basic commands like come, sit, down, and place. He is good motivated. Howie needs a home familiar with the Great Pyrenees breed and with a confident handler willing to continue working with him. He is good with other dogs and has lived with cats but we do not recommend him for a home with children.  Howie is neutered, vaccinated and chipped. His adoption fee is $395 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
