Story
Claude is a big, handsome boy, a heavyweight champion clocking in at almost 15 lbs. We believe he is about 5 to 6 years old. Claude is a people-oriented cat, and while he has no problem with women, his true love is men. He loves to greet people at the door, sit beside you, purr, and get chin scritches. He is dearly loved, but unfortunately he is not a fan of our senior cats. He gets along well with other cats, though, as long as he has sufficient space to have his own territory. I could also see him thriving as part of a 1 cat household. Claude is very smart but not a huge treats guy, so he loves to play with the feather wand, laser, and kibble puzzle toys. He adores watching the birds out the window and taking stroller rides around the neighborhood. He definitely is a cat that craves stimulation and new challenges and I could see him taking to a running wheel if he had the chance. Claude is neutered and house trained, never has had issues with accidents.

Story
Once upon a literary adventure, I`m Miya - a feline heroine with an independent spirit and a story waiting to be understood. Like a complex character in a novel, I have layers of depth that aren`t immediately apparent. My narrative is one of quiet resilience, where each page turn reveals a bit more about my intricate personality. I`m not your typical cuddle companion, but more like a rare manuscript waiting for the right reader who understands nuance and respects personal boundaries. My ideal chapter begins in a tranquil environment where I can explore at my own pace, preferably with a patient human who appreciates subtle communication. Think of me as a poetry collection - best appreciated slowly, with gentle attention and respect for my personal space. While I might not immediately offer affection, I`m developing my own unique narrative of trust, one careful moment at a time. How did I get here? Transferred from Wake County Animal Center; Adopted & returned when my owner was allergic to me. **I am currently living at the admission center - please fill out a survey and select a phone appointment to complete the adoption process. Once that process is complete, your adoption specialist will schedule a time for you to meet me in person!**~My adoption fee is $65.00.~

Story
Earl has been living in our backyard for about 5 years. We got him neutered and recently brought him inside due to the cold weather. We estimate his age to be 7. Earl is a professional couch potato who loves to hang out and chill. He loves looking out the window and keeping watch over the neighborhood, super interested in every person or bird that comes by. He’s great with strangers---in a crowd, he’ll take his time going around the room to be sure he gets pets from every person present. He loves a good flop and really enjoys a chin scratch. He’s a laid-back, sweet little guy looking for a happy home. We already have 3 cats of our own, and having seen him adjust so well to living indoors, we want to make sure he gets his own home. We think he would enjoy a quiet home where he can get plenty of naps and pets.
