Story
Wheat is a British Shorthair gentleman who came to us all the way from Kuwait—and you’d never guess he’d just endured a long journey. The moment he stepped out of his carrier, he was completely at home. Litter box? Check. Meal? Gone. Affection? Immediately requested… and enthusiastically enjoyed. Wheat didn’t miss a beat as he rolled around in pure happiness, soaking up pets and attention like it’s his favorite pastime. He’s the kind of cat who seems genuinely delighted just to be here—curious, content, and full of quiet joy. A sweet boy who knows he’s safe now and is more than ready to return that love tenfold. Wheat is FIV+ which just means his immune system may be a little lower, so if he gets a cold, it should be treated right away instead of seeing if it can run its own course. It is often recommended that FIV+ cats see the vet every 6 months instead of every 12. FIV is passed through deep bite wounds, so Wheat can safely live with other cats who are negative for FIV provided they are cat friendly also.
