🐾🖤 Well hey there... my name's Alanzo. 🖤🐾I'm a 5-year-old Labrador Retriever/Hound mix with a sleek, shiny black coat, just a little patch of white under my chin, and 75 pounds of pure love. Folks say I've got kind eyes and an old soul, and if you ask me, I reckon they're probably right. 🥰 Now, I ain't the type to come barrelin' up to every stranger I meet. I like to take a minute, size things up, and make sure I'm safe. But if you've got a little patience, a soft voice, and maybe a pocket full of tasty treats, well... we'll be friends before long. Once I know you're one of the good ones, I'll be your shadow and your most loyal friend. ❤️ I'm a gentle fella through and through. I get along mighty fine with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I sure do love people—from little kiddos all the way up to grandparents. My favorite thing in this whole world is bein' close to my people. I'll gladly hand out kisses, lean in for hugs, and if you're lookin' for a warm pillow after a long day, darlin', I'm happy to volunteer. 🤎I walk real nice on a leash, though I might tug just a little when I get excited about where we're headed. I hop right into the car like a gentleman, and I sure do enjoy a good ride. Doesn't much matter where we're goin'... long as I'm ridin' shotgun with my favorite person, I'm happier than a hound dog in a sunny field. 🚗🌾Now there's one thing I oughta tell ya. I'm heartworm positive, but don't let that worry your heart too much. I've already finished all the medicine I needed to get me headed in the right direction. 💊💕 All that's left now is a follow-up heartworm test on or after April 4, 2027, and we're all hopin' it'll come back negative. Until then, all I really need is a family that'll love me while I finish this last little stretch of the journey. Truth be told, I ain't askin' for much. A soft bed. A peaceful porch to watch the sunset. Maybe a few treats now and then. Most of all, someone to call my own. Someone who'll see past my shy beginnings and know there's a whole lotta love tucked away inside this old heart of mine.
