ADOPTION ALERT: STUNNING LONG AND LEAN AVAILABLE Meet Freddie - 65lbs of energy, enthusiasm and joy Birthday: Not quite sure but some time in October of 2024 Weight: A looooong and lean 65lbs Currently in Foster in Nelson, BC Who is he? an eager to please, clever goofball, extremely smart, food motivated, playful & enthusiastic, FAST... this boy can run...Loves routine! Skills include: - did we mention he is FAST! He would be GREAT at agility - 10/10 on the cuddle scale - a bit like a house alarm, will bark to alert you (with positive reinforcement he knows to cease when instructed) - 10/10 on bringing joy and enthusiasm to all things in life - plays well with other dogs after proper introduction - loves to learn and work - good with horses, chickens and cats - great in the car and is crate trained for short periods of down time (overnight he prefers his own bed or yours) Work in Progress includes: - can be reactive with new dogs if not introduced properly - shy when meeting new people or dogs - his early life in the shelter has caused him to be wary of strangers but once he knows you, he warms right up - trust is earned with Freddie, not given automatically Ideal home: - ideally with a doggie sibling who will tolerate his playful puppy-ness but could be an only dog as long as he had regular play dates - he loves routine - rural setting away from the hustle and bustle of city life - fenced outdoor space he can safely explore - people who will worship him and make him feel safe and loved - humans with experience with shy dogs who can boost his confidence - a life that offers adventure and allows him to grow into the amazing dog he is becoming - a home willing to continue his raw feeding Medical Flex: - he is healthy, raw fed and has delayed neuter to allow his growth plates to close Freddie’s Dream: Find a human who loves him as much as he loves to run! Someone who will be patient with him as he finds his way and overcomes “stranger danger” and loves to cuddle on the couch.

Story
Meet Tazz — professional napper, part-time zoomie rocket, full-time cuddle bug 🐾 Tazz (aka Zoomies, Duffus, Tazzy, Boo, Puppy, or Bloop) is a 2-year-old Chocolate Lab mix with a heart as soft as his favorite blanket. He stands about 20 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 46 lbs (he's still filling out). At first meet, Tazz can be a little shy and cautious, but give him a hot minute and he warms up fast (literally and emotionally). He's great with other dogs and good with kids, approaching new friends with quiet curiosity. Cats are an unknown, but with other animals he's polite, observant, and will return to his person when called if things get loud. On leash, Tazz starts off shy but quickly switches into curious explorer mode and may pull a bit to investigate the world. At home, he does well in his kennel, though he may attempt a sneaky dig-out now and then. Once settled, a gentle "settle down" reminder does the trick. Fair warning: he strongly prefers the couch, the bed, and anywhere warm (and honestly… who can blame him?). House-training is mostly there! He understands going outside for his business and has learned how to sit (go Tazz!). He does have an occasional indoor accident in the same spot, but he's trying his best and continues to improve. Now for the fun stuff: ✨ Random, surprise zoomies when leaving the kennel, at mealtime, or during play ✨ Sleeps in odd positions, sometimes so much he can fall asleep sitting up ✨ Loves being buried under blankets or glued to his human for warmth ✨ Playful little nibbles when he feels safe and extra happy, he's puppy like still. ✨ Purrs in his sleep (yes, really!) ✨ Favorite sleeping position: on his back, fully stretched out like he owns the place Tazz would thrive in a calm home, bonus if there was another dog for him to play with, where naps are respected and warmth is guaranteed. He dislikes the cold, but loves bones, chew toys, treats, sunny spots, and couch cuddles, with or without his humans. If you're looking for a sweet, goofy, blanket-loving best friend who will happily snooze the day away by your side, Tazz might just be your perfect match 💛
