Dogs like Marilyn overlooked simply because of color, breed and size. Frequently these dogs are never given the chance they deserve or even the opportunity to learn the skills they need to interest adopters. They just want their chance. A chance to gain skills and knowledge. A chance to be wanted and loved. Marilyn is finally getting her chance. Marilyn didn’t deserve the death sentence her former family gave her. Her life before has left her with the insecurities we see in so many of these discarded pups. Nervous but wanting that positive interaction so much. Bouncy but trying extra hard to learn the basics of good dog manners. Super needy because no one has ever made her feel she mattered. To matter….that’s all she wants more than anything else in the world. Marilyn is going to do so much with her chance and we hope find her perfect home. She deserves nothing less than that! Now that she’s at our rescue ranch we’re working on building up Marilyn’s confidence. She’s excited to be around people and excited to see other dogs. No reactivity she simply doesn’t know what to do with all the excited energy she feels. With time and consistency that excited energy will fade and Marilyn will understand. Understand our expectations, understand what gets her positive feedback. She wants so much to please and is already making lots of progress. Want to be a part of Marilyn’s journey to belong? He’s happy go lucky and so much fun and for those looking for a lab temperament this boy has you covered. He LOVES everyone and not one single person is a stranger. He’ll be your very best friend and if you bring out the toys that friendship just got epic. He’s here for all of it and doesn’t have a mean bone in his entire body. Dogs? He loves them too and had three canine buddies in his former home of varying sizes. He lived with a 10lb chihuahua, a 30lb mutt and a large shepherd blend and did great with all. Marley is litterally the entire package! This sweet boy lived most of his life in a home loved and well taken care of. In an instant he lost it all when his human suddenly passed away. He stayed with his deceased human keeping the body safe until family arrived. Such a loyal dog dedicated until the end. And that dedication deserves to find an equally amazing family he can love and continue to live the wonderful life he was meant to have. Marley is sweet, affectionate and just an all around good boy. He’s great on walks but equally happy to have fun games with any and all toys. He’s quickly become a ranch staff favorite and is ready to start the next chapter in his life.
