Story
Luke comes from a family of 6 children. He was raised with his litter mate. He is a prebred working dog. His first owners were negligent and housed him in a chicken coop with his brother. He is neutered. No behavioral problems. Very attentive and playful with other dogs of all sizes. He is both crate and house trained. His original owners were arrested and he was scheduled for euthanasia. She is sweet and loving. Our 10 year old poodle is temperamental and doesn’t play. Our Great Dane is also geriatric. He doesn’t run away or bark too much. Needs a best friend and forever home.

Story
Sex: FemaleBreed: Labrador Retriever xEstimated Date of Birth : 09/20/2023She was so terrified it almost sealed her fate but one yes changed Mica’s life! This sweet girl is flourishing. She’s great with the dogs and cats in her foster home and once she settled in learned the routine quickly. She’s both crate and house trained and know how to use a doggie door. She’s the ultimate cuddler and such a sweet, sweet girl who gets along with everyone she just needed someone patient enough to let her decompress and feel comfortable enough to shine. Mica came into Kern County Animal Services in September. Part of an all black dog hoarding case seized by animal control in the desert town of Boron. An isolated area with no resources and very few ways for hoarding case dogs to survive but somehow Mica did. She lingered at the shelter. Her breed, coat color and shyness all strikes against her giving her virtually no opportunity to be seen. After a month she was slated to be another shelter statistic ending her short life behind shelter bars but when all hope was lost she got the yes that saved her life. When Mica entered foster care it was hard to trust and even harder to open up. Humans hadn’t been kind but the kindness of one was all it took and this sweet girl became a brand new dog over the course of the next few weeks. She litterally transformed becoming the sweet Velcro girl we know and love today. Micas story isn’t over, it’s only just begun. We hope we can guide her to the next steps on her journey and find her the adoptive home she never knew she could have If you are interested in adopting a Marley's Mutts please fill out an application at http://marleysmutts.org/adoptionprocess/

Story
Sex: FemaleBreed: Pitt/Lab xEstimated Date of Birth : 07/12/2018Like the Phoenix that she is Bailey, formerly Ayanna, rose from the ashes of her previous life. Shot, paralyzed and left to die with her puppies in a field near Visalia. This sweet girl overcame all odds, raised happy and healthy puppies and eventually found the most wonderful adoptive home and mom over 4 years ago. What should have been an amazing rescue story and life has ended in tragedy. Bailey’s adoptive mom suddenly and unexpectedly lost her life. To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. Such an amazing human has left our world and Bailey begins her rescue journey again. Bailey is what a survivor looks like! She is proof that no matter the horrors a dog has seen they will come back a stronger better version of themselves. She has never let her past define her and has an amazing temperament with all humans including children and every dog she’s met. Shes an ambassador for her breed and so incredibly gentle and sweet. We are determined to find her the kind of amazing home she sadly lost. Bailey is paralyzed from the waist down and relies on a wheelchair for her extended mobility. Shes looking for a family willing to provide a wheelie pup with the additional care they need and accept her physical differences as they don’t make her any less of an amazing family member. If you’re looking to adopt a true survivor and a really amazing dog please consider giving Bailey her forever home.
