Hey, I’m Gunner!
3 year old Labrador mix | 62 lb | Love for snacks, belly rubs, and being close to my people
I came to the shelter with my sister after our owner could no longer care for us. That part of my story wasn’t my choice, but I’m ready for my next chapter.
At first, I can be a little unsure with strangers but I warm up pretty quickly and then we’re good to go! Give me a minute, maybe a treat or two, and you’ll see my sweet side come out fast. I’m very food motivated and I LOVE affection, so bonding with me is easy.

As for cats, I’m not aggressive, but I do want to chase if they run so I'd probably do best in a home without kitties or an experienced adopter who understands slow introductions and management.
I’m a typical lab in a lot of ways. I’ve got energy. I like to play. I’d thrive in a home that gives me structure, guidance, and helps me continue building confidence.

Once submitted, our staff will review during open hours. If approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet! Any other dogs in the home must come as well. We may require everyone living in the home to come as well, depending on the dog. If the meet & greet goes well and sparks fly, you can take home on the same day!
We do offer a 2 week foster-to-adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!
