Hello folks: My name is Luca and I am a 6-year-old, male labradoodle. I am cream colored and weigh about 80 lbs and am now in the market for my forever home and hoomans. I have been described by the folks here at Golden Paws as a goofy boy with a big personality. That is really true. I’m very energetic and very happy. Life has given me a few bumps and scratches, but nothing that won’t buff right out. I know some basic commands, like how to sit and stay, and I am really, really smart. With a little time and patience, you can teach me all kinds of new tricks and commands. I love children, dogs, and other animals. Isn’t that usually the way with a big, goofy guy like me? Because of the type of coat I have, I will need some grooming, but I’m really good at that. Very patient. Also I do well on a leash and would love to take long walks with you. For those of you who are not familiar with my breed of dog, Labradoodles were developed in the late 1980s in Australia. The original idea was to have a smart, trainable guide dog for those who needed them. It also turned out that we are fantastic dogs for families as well. We’re a combination of a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle, with the size of the poodle determining if we’re larger or smaller. Most of the people who would know describe us as being bright, playful, affectionate and friendly. Just what you need, right? What say you fill out an application and come on in for a one on one visit? We’ll spend a little time together and see if we click. I’ve been neutered, I’ve had all my shots, and I’m ready to find my new forever home. I am looking forward to meeting you so we can start our lives together. Hope to see you soon. Love, Luca

From those sweet eyes to that goofy smile, Diesel loves to catch everyone's attention! He loves to play with people, knows how to sit on command, and would love to find his family this year as he's been waiting for over 1,000 days here at our shelter!! He's been to multiple adoption events, so we don't understand why this sweet guy continues to be passed by. His only restriction is that he is looking for a home with no other animals. He's does great on pack walks but after not having a home for years, he gets very attached to his family members and doesn't like to share with other animals when inside a home. He has NO ADOPTION FEE thanks to his sponsor. Diesel has already been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and is up to date on vaccinations so this sweet boy is all ready to go! **Interested adopters MUST bring their own dog(s) that your new canine will be living with at your household. This is for our staff and your family to monitor their behavior in a safe place to help ensure all animals are happy moving in together**
