Story
Colocho! It means “curly” in Spanish. A 2.5 year old Laradoodle with a heart of gold, very smart and supremely happy, Colocho has a lot of energy and love to give. He would make an EXCELLENT family dog, and loves kids. He is reactive to other dogs outside his “territory”, but otherwise gets along well with dogs no problem. We went to Petco and he was great. He is good with cats too.Colocho has had a bit of a rough start in life. We are not sure, but we think he came from a BYB situation. He was very skinny initially, but has put on some weight thanks to the hard work of his current owner, who sadly can no longer take care of him. Colocho is a typical smart and playful Labradoodle; he has taken well to obedience training and is working on progress with his crate. He needs a neuter (which will be sponsored), but otherwise he’s pretty much set with all “the basics”!

Story
Hi, I'm Molly, I'm a small senior doodle. As you can see, I'm a beautiful, little girl. I'm probably some kind of doodle - maybe a labradoodle mix. I'm small - only around 30lbs so I'm mixed with something smaller than a labradoodle. I'm about 11-12 years old. Technically, I'm a senior but I act much younger and I'm very healthy. Also, I'm a great size. At around 30 pounds and low to the ground, my foster mom calls me a "low rider". I'm loving and affectionate with my people. I've had 2 homes so far and was sooooo sad to lose each one. I lived in one home for 3 years and another for about 8 years. Through no fault of my own, I was given up both times. I sleep well in my crate, and I love walks and car rides. I don't like to share with other dogs though, so I need to be the only animal in my new home. I am on special food due to having bladder stones when I was surrendered. On the new food, I have not had any further issues. I am looking for a new, patient and loving human sidekick. Reach out if that is you. I'm already vetted and spayed. I'm being fostered in Harrisonburg VA. I can be adopted to the DC metro area, the Richmond area and the Harrisonburg area. If you think you think you could give me a great home, please contact thekeneequeen@comcast.net Thanks. Molly

Elliott is a sweet little shadow who wants nothing more than to be by your side. 💙 Loves to cuddle and will happily be your lap dog—even at bedtime! 🍗 A picky eater, but boiled chicken mixed with kibble is the way to his heart. 🏡 Would do best in a quiet home with older children, as young kids can make him nervous. 👤 Can be a little unsure around larger men but is gentle and doesn’t growl. 🤫 Quiet by nature and only barks if left alone in a room. 🚽 House training is still a work in progress, but he’s making steady progress with a consistent routine. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who will stick to you like glue, Elliott is ready to fill your home—and your lap—with love. ********************************************************************* Schedule a meet-and-greet by completing our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey. Story
Jess is an approximately 5-year-old, 50 lb sweetheart with medium energy and an extra special charm all her own. While we don’t know much about Jess’s past, we do know she is incredibly loving, snuggly, and devoted to her people. Jess is friendly with humans and absolutely adores affection, treats, and playtime. One of her favorite ways to invite you to play is by adorably chasing and gently playing with her foster’s feet: her silly way of saying, “Let’s have fun!” She also loves chasing games and has a blast shredding and de-stuffing toys. Jess is still learning how to interact with other dogs. She does well with some dogs and is still learning to understand social cues with others. She will be working with Force Free DC to continue building her confidence, social skills, and helping her become the very best version of herself. She is brave, curious, food-motivated, and full of personality as she continues to come out of her shell. Jess does have some neurological differences that make her extra special and uniquely adorable. She also has a fear of cars and can be sensitive to certain outdoor noises and activity, so she would thrive in a quieter home environment outside of a busy city while she continues to build confidence. Jess is a sweet, funny, and playful girl who is ready to find a patient, loving home that will help her continue to blossom. 💗
