Story
In very Lab fashion, Russ intends to be a puppy for many years to come. He deserves it, after a rough start in life. He is recovering nicely, gaining needed weight and catching up on all the fun of life. He has developed many loves - loves people, loves treats, loves learning, loves squeaky toys! This energetic youngster is learning his manners (he's a quick study) and looking forward to a fun family to continue his new, happy life! He is not compatible with cats or small pets but he is learning that nice relaxed dogs his size are potential friends.  ~  Est DOB:  Dec 2020 ~  Intake weight:  45#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
It's okay to talk about *this* Bruno! All he sees in the future is good times with a great family. Bruno is as lab as they get! Be it a sprinkler, a pool, or a lake, Bruno is prepare to dive in. Got a ball launcher? He'll wear himself out without you getting up from your lawn chair. High energy? Yes, but high smarts too as he knows his basic commands and appears to be housetrained. Bruno came in stray, so we don't know the history on his damaged eye but the only change it has made in this Lab's Lab is that he distrusts other animals. He needs to be your only pet, but he'll be all the pet you need!   ~  Est DOB:  Jan 2019 ~  Intake weight:  56#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Soulful Andy is that steady companion you've been looking for! Good on leash and gentle of heart, he makes it easy to want to spend your time hanging out with him. He is a fan of treats and pats, but he is not a fan of cats - he finds them positively terrifying! Before you think he's all couch potato, he does loosen up and show a playful side with his human friends. At this time, he is not interested in doggie friends.    ~  Will be spayed/neutered prior to leaving the shelter. ~  Est DOB: Jul 2021  ~  Est weight:  54#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Cupid doesn't believe in growing up, and hopes to find someone who will be forever young with him. But what he doesn't know is that he also needs rules and structure in order to thrive. Are ready to take this clean slate and help him become the best friend he can be? Until he has all his manners in place, he may be too much enthusiasm for very small kids. He's also a talented climber in need of a high fence, and not a good fit at this time with other dogs.    ~  Will be spayed/neutered prior to leaving the shelter~  Est DOB: July 2021~  Intake weight:  50#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Don't tell his siblings, but Leonardo has been a bit spoiled. He's such a sweet lap baby, the staff could not help but hold him. He has a fun time playing with toys and learning for treats. While he still needs help learning about new things in the big world, he walks nicely on the leash so can go exploring and learning with his family. With his lean, leggy build, he can go over the average baby gate. Shelter babies are pad trained and worked with on housetraining.   ~ Est DOB: July 2023~ Weight @ 6mo: 28#~ Adoption details/application: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Handsome Hudson is ready to make friends with you! Got a ball to throw and a yard to throw it in? Then all you are missing is Hudson. He is a friendly fellow with nice manners for his age.
