Story
Leonard is a 1-year-old male Yellow Lab mix who has already been neutered. He was found as a stray in Prattville and no owner showed up to claim him.  Leonard has a gorgeous tan/yellow coat with white markings.  He also has a docked tail; and the most gorgeous eyes you have ever seen. Leonard weighs 35 pounds and we don't think he will get much bigger.  This sweet guy is active, playful, and would be great in a home with children and other dogs.  Leonard is just a great all around dog and some lucky adopter is going to get a great new friend!Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  October 17, 2025, 12:06 pm

Story
Lucy is a 6-month-old female Lab/Terrier mix who must be spayed before adoption.  She was found as a stray and no owner came looking for her.  Lucy has a brown and white coat; and she weighs 23 pounds.  We believe she will be a medium sized adult dog who will weighs at least 40 pounds as an adult.  Lucy is a little show off who is an attention hog!  She is playful, lovable, and would be good with children.  Lucy can be a bit 'dog selective' so if you have another dog; it would be best if you could bring your dog out for a meet & greet with Lucy.  This lovable and adorable little bundle of joy is ready for a new start on life!  Lucy is going to love being in a home!Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Story
Hi, Molly Mae is 3 yrs and was found at our local pound at 6 weeks old curled up in a ball. Loving and loyal, she is housebroken and is hand fed, very-very gentle and somewhat timid. She would rather be outside chasing and treeing squirrels but enjoys her warm bed inside at night. She desires to please her master and play with her 3 fur siblings and is great with children. Molly Mae enjoys riding and visits to the vets office with and all the attention she gets from the staff is a breeze. My grandchildren love her, but she does bark and our neighbors don’t appreciate the noise. She prefers a somewhat quiet household. She has regulate checkups. Current with shots, chipped and takes monthly Credillio for worms ticks and fleas and is heart worm negative. She will make a wonderful gentle pet. We are senior adults and are slowing down. This is a very difficult decision for us but we know she will thrive in a home with more active owners.

Story
Oh, hi. I’m Ritch and I am sooooo happy to be going up for adoption! I was rescued by a kind Humane Deputy who was sent out to pick up a “big” litter of puppies! It took a “minute” to round all of us up, but he did it! We have been resting and “eating” while we have waited at the shelter. We were never claimed by our owner and we are all ready for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations for my age, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. Hey, I have an idea! Why don’t you adopt me and one of my littermates? We would have so much fun growing up together!

Story
Hey there! My name is Biscuit and I am a one-year-old retriever/husky mix that is in the market for my “forever” home! I was originally rescued from a strip mall on a busy highway! YIKES! It was dangerous for me to be there without my owner. Anyway a kind “shopper” picked me up and brought me to the shelter so I could safely wait for my owner. No one ever came and then I went up for adoption. I was lucky to have someone take me on as my Adoption Ambassador! I have enjoyed living in a home with a family while still hoping to find my “forever” home. I am now at the shelter and I am so ready to meet lots of new folks. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. I am a sweet boy and I can’t wait to meet you!
