Story
Shadow is a big, loving 80-pound Lab/Border Collie mix who wants nothing more than to be with his people. He earned his name because he’ll follow you everywhere you go. He loves toys, loves attention, and loves staying close. He can hop a 4-foot fence, but he always comes right back to the front door because he just wants to be home. He gets along great with other dogs and would do best as an indoor dog surrounded by his family. Adoption fee is $75. Come meet Shadow at the shelter and fall in love. 214 Circle Dr, Melbourne, AR 72556 Saturday: 9 AM–Noon Or submit an application and we’ll schedule a time that works for you: www.icarearkansas.com/application

Story
Miss London has come such a long way since she got here back in Feb 2024. She has conquered a lot of fears, like the ceiling fan, and has started trusting other canines. Her brothers used to jump on her before she got here, so she was not a fan of other dogs. She still has issues being in a kennel with another dog, but she is able to run and play with them in the yard with no issues. She can still be timid with some people, but the right home will melt all of that away. London enjoys walks and toys and if you give her a good booty scratch she will be your best friend. She also likes to cuddle. Will you give this girl a deserving chance at life outside the shelter?  Anyway, I would be a loyal and fun companion, if you would give me the chance. Please come by and say hi, maybe take me for a walk? I would LOVE that! -London If you would like more information, please contact our shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.November 18, 2025, 9:38 am

Story
**Rover graduated  the Paws in Prison Program on Dec 9, 2025. He is now crate trained, house-trained and he learned a few tricks as well! He is now looking for a forever home before he forgets everything he has learned. You see, at the shelter there are not people to practice his commands with so it's easy to forget. The program trainer had this to say about Rover: “Rover is now totally reliable with sit, down, stay, come, wait, shake hands, high five, and catch. He walks nicely on leash naturally. His reliability is what is most amazing, when asked to do something, he does it (though maybe slowly). Everyone who has met him agrees that he is just such a sweet and gentle dog.” Read more about him below... Rover is one happy guy with gorgeous eyes. He is gentle and easy-going. He is also good with other dogs, cats and adults, but small children scare him with their loud noises and fast movements. He is extremely smart, super sweet and needs a family or person who will shower him with attention and love. If you would like more information, please contact the shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at www.schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.December 10, 2025, 10:14 am
