Story
Oakley is an easy dog to love. He’s gentle, playful, housebroken, and great with dogs, cats, and kids. He weighs about 40 pounds, and we don’t expect him to get much bigger. He’s the perfect medium size for both fun and comfort. He has a calm, steady way about him. He listens well, learns fast, and fits into new routines without any trouble. One look at his sweet face, and you’ll see why everyone falls for him. Oakley is at the ICARE Shelter and ready to meet you. Stop by 214 Circle Dr, Melbourne on Saturdays from 9 AM to noon. If that doesn’t work, fill out an application at www.icarearkansas.com/application and we’ll set up a time that works for you. Oakley is ready for his forever home, and he’s ready to love his new family.

Story
Meet Princess Dolly. She’s fun-loving, affectionate, and full of heart. She loves going on walks, enjoys car rides, and is happiest when she can curl up and snuggle with her people. She’s very smart and would make a great indoor dog who wants to be part of everyday life. Princess Dolly does well with most other dogs, but she needs a little time to get to know them. She does best with male dogs her size. She’s loyal and protective of her people, so a home with children over age seven is the best fit. Older kids understand boundaries, which helps her feel calm and secure. She’ll need a tall fence, as she can jump a four-foot fence, though she does come back. In the right home, Princess Dolly will be a devoted and loving companion. How to meet Princess Dolly Apply WWW.icarearkansas.com/application and we'll set up a meet-and-greet Or visit the ICARE Shelter, 214 Circle Dr. Melbourne, Saturdays from 9am to noon.

Story
Lida (Lee-Da) is a super sweet, very mellow dog.  She showed up as a stray and the couple that rescued her was too elderly to handle her.  Lida is very good with other dogs and would do well with kids too.  She is house trained and we are working with her on leash training.  She loves human attention and would make a great family pet.  She seems super smart too.  If you would like more information, please contact our shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.January 26, 2026, 4:47 pm

Story
Miss London has come such a long way since she got here back in Feb 2024. She has conquered a lot of fears, like the ceiling fan, and has started trusting other canines. Her brothers used to jump on her before she got here, so she was not a fan of other dogs. She still has issues being in a kennel with another dog, but she is able to run and play with them in the yard with no issues. She can still be timid with some people, but the right home will melt all of that away. London enjoys walks and toys and if you give her a good booty scratch she will be your best friend. She also likes to cuddle. Will you give this girl a deserving chance at life outside the shelter?  Anyway, I would be a loyal and fun companion, if you would give me the chance. Please come by and say hi, maybe take me for a walk? I would LOVE that! -London If you would like more information, please contact our shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.November 18, 2025, 9:38 am

Willa was found in the woods with her 3 puppies. She is super sweet and very laid back. She appears to have been very socialized and might have even had a family at some point. She loves affection and listens well. She will sit, head tilted back with a smile on her face while you pet her - she is just precious! She also loves her bed, blanket and to care for her puppies.  She walks well on a leash and is house trained.  She does well with other dogs and would be good with kids too. Miss Willa will be a wonderful, cuddly dog for the family that snags her up.
