Story
My name is Shania. You may remember me from a while back, yes that's me. I was owner surrendered to no fault of my own. The staff that was here when I was last here were so happy to see me and made me feel at home and welcome. It is so good to see them. I am a little shy, but I will get back to myself. I am still as pretty as I always was. I like to play, and take walks, and cuddle and of course play with toys. I would love to meet you.

Story
Meet Dakota! Dakota is a stunning 45-lb Labrador mix whose story is one of courage, resilience, and transformation. Her life didn’t start the way any dog deserves — she lived her early months confined to a crate with little to no socialization, leaving her fearful of people, new environments, and especially men. But everything changed when she joined her loving foster family. With gentle guidance, patience, and routine exposure to the world, Dakota is slowly discovering that life can be wonderful. Her foster mom has been incredible, taking her to live music events, flea markets, and outings to help her build confidence at her own pace. Dakota now walks through the world with curiosity — still shy at first, but willing to trust when given kindness and time. Dakota lives peacefully with both dogs and a cat, and she absolutely thrives with her canine companions. She is house trained, crate trained, and enjoys the comfort and structure of a stable home. Because of her sensitive background, Dakota would do best with a family who understands that healing happens gradually — ideally a home with older children or adults who can offer patience, routine, and encouragement. In the right environment, she will continue blossoming into the confident, loving dog she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a beautiful heart — a dog who will reward your patience with unwavering loyalty — Dakota is ready to start her new chapter with you. Could you be the one to give her the forever family she deserves? Adoption Fee: $350 Please Note: All potential adopters must be open to a home check and provide vet records to confirm that any dogs in the household are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations. Meet U-Turn! This beautiful girl got her name because life gave her a second chance—and she’s making the most of it. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Tuskegee, Alabama, U-Turn arrived at Big Dog Ranch with an uncertain future. But thanks to the love, medical care, and training she received, she’s now ready to head in a brand-new direction—straight into your heart. U-Turn is super sweet, gentle, and walks wonderfully on a leash. She’s kennel trained, great with other dogs, and loves meeting new people. Her heart is full of gratitude for everyone who helped her get to this point, and now she’s just looking for a home to call her own. U-Turn has already made a big turn in life—now all she needs is you to help her finish the journey home.

Story
Arrow is a sweet and energetic Retriever, Yellow Labrador, and Husky mix who is ready to find his forever home. He made his way to us from a shelter in South Carolina, and since then, he's been a ball of joy. Arrow is playful, affectionate, and loves spending time with both humans and other dogs. His vibrant personality is matched by his stunning coat, which is a beautiful mix of golden yellow and snowy white. He's active, loves outdoor adventures, and would thrive in a home that can offer him both exercise and affection. Arrow is looking for a family who will keep up with his energy and shower him with the love he deserves. If you're looking for a loyal and fun-loving companion, Arrow might be the perfect addition to your family!
